4/92 per Schefty. Will have to see what the guarantees are, but I am glad he is back. Ascending player.

Schefty reporting $41.8M is guaranteed. Not clear if it is fully guaranteed or if there are some delayed guarantees (which is just fake agent bullshit). Either way doesn't seem like a crazy price.

So on average, based on the current preliminary info, he can earn a max of $23 million a season on average and is guaranteed $10.25 million a year on average. So probably talking about $17-18 million a season in all likelihood. Not bad.

Great news, bringing the entire band back on defense is only a good thing.
Continuity is a great thing, I don't think there will be a massive drop-off with Demarcus Covington running the show. He has been there for years learning under the master and I love that he coached defensive line almost exclusively.

Another "garbage" Belichick player. Just dump all these bums and let the Collaboration build the team in their own image. Maybe they can replace Barmore with a Right Tackle?

I think everyone wanted the band back together on defense, but it was obvious the offense needed an overhaul by the new regime.

I've got to hand it to the collaboration station, they have brought back all of our priority free agents and got them at really solid value deals.
Part of that may have been the team's overall record last year, if so it keeps paying dividends like discounts on stud vet players and guys like Drake Maye.

There appears to be a cabal within this Forum, that want to give BB 0% of the credit for great signings, but 100% of the blame for not-so-great signings.

Another "garbage" Belichick player. Just dump all these bums and let the Collaboration build the team in their own image. Look I openly do not trust Jonathan Kraft and think Bob is an old man and acting like it, but I'm not ready to jump ship on Wolf just yet despite my skepticism of seemingly keeping everything in place other than BB. That said I think now is a good time to revisit the dumb "stat" that was circulating on this board about how the Pats hadn't resigned a Top 3 round pick to a 2nd contract in 10 years to make it seem like Bill literally didn't draft anyone that was any good ever. What really happened was: -They chose Hightower and Jones over Collins -They chose Mason over Thuney (this was wrong!) -The 2017-2019 drafts were an unmitigated disaster and is ultimately why this team fell apart and why Bill is out of a job -The later drafts were too recent for a player to have been extended yet Ultimately the drafting on this team as of late has not been good enough and it was correct to assign responsibility to Bill for this whether or not you think he should have been fired. But some of the narrative that basically suggested he was a doddering old fool that had completely lost touch with football needs to just go away.

To be fair, we don't know if Belichick would've paid this much for Barmore. He paid Wilfork once upon a time, but this deal is already among the richest in the franchise's history lol. I would bet he would, but idk

I’ll wait a couple of days to make sure the numbers are actually correct, but if they are, this is a lot less than I thought he would get. Great news.

If his drafts were crap then why resign so many of his picks? I don't know how many Bill would resigned but the team had a ton of cap space this year so it makes sense.

He has signed other extensions for quality defensive players on the front 7 in the past, such as Wilfork, Hightower and Bentley. Plus, they had the cap space to do so. It's not like they spent a ton in FA bringing in players from other teams like say a legitimate Left Tackle. Not one that another team just wanted to get rid of.

if these numbers are accurate, or even close, then this is a great deal for the player and even better for the team. excellent signing.

They signed the guys who deserved it. They addressed the elephant in the room(offensive ineptitude) in the draft. They drafted the right QB with the highest level of character out of the bunch. Lots of reasons to be excited for our Patriots again!
