Let's not forget that revenge is a dish best served cold.
Just in time for training camp, Roger Goodell has "won" a naked attempt to punish the Patriots for being so successful on the field. Can you imagine how this makes the other 53 guys feel? BB is bringing back a veteran team for the most part, and an extremely loyal team at that. In addition, the NFL Players Association realizes that if Goodell can do this to an innocent Brady, he can do to any other player.
This team wants to hold the Lombardi Trophy aloft and publicly thank Roger Goodell, which should slip by the NFL censor just fine. Mel Brooks held up his Tony Award and thanked Adolf Hitler for being such a putz.
I expect the Patriots to seriously regroup, circle the wagons, say all the right things about their opponents and throw a few (fake!) fumbles and interceptions in preseason. Then they're going to come out in September like old Knute Rockne beating Army.

If garapalo goes 4-0 would you take him out? Not me. Then you are in a group of one. Of course you take him out. We have Brady for four more years. No way you bench him.

Jimmy playing the team to 4-0=trading him for a first round draft choice. never play him another snap for fear of diminishing his value.

Kind of like when Bledsloe came in the Pitt playoff game and sat for the Super Bowl. Being the franchise qb and all. I'd say I could be in a group of 2. Do you think that Brady will be benched or traded when BB thinks its time? I do.

Brady is a 1st ballot HOF'er and the greatest Patriot and possibly player to ever play. I can't see him being benched nor traded. His legacy and that of the Pats under him is far too valuable to Kraft as brady will continue to generate money for bob after he is gone and retired. I would have thought the same for Montana in SF, but those circumstances were a bit different. Brady retires a patriot and the only NFL jersey he ever wears is a patriot one.

I agree he'll retire the minute he knows he's toast. If he ever did go to another team then instantly their fans would declare him innocent of all charges.

Kraft waited too long to do Brady any favors. He could be bitter now and I wouldn't blame him a bit. I'm sure Brady could care less about Krafts money anymore. So I personally hope he asks to get paid what he's worth. The highest paid player in the league.

He is doing HIMSELF a favor by making more money available for the supporting case on offense and defense so as to continue to be the winner.

Brady is a very smart businessman. He makes his money and allows the team to add pieces.

Brady is a winner and it doesn't matter who his receivers are and how bad parts of the team are. Proven over and over. All of the money he's saved the team has been gobbled up by dead money from bad contracts, not premier, high $$$ players.

Just cause his wife is rich it shouldn't mean he gets paid less. Home town discount went out the window. After all this id support Brady if he held out.

Doesn't seem to be in his DNA, but if he ever did, it would be warranted.

Brady has earned every cent on his contracts guaranteed or not. Most of the NFL deals are guaranteed money and thin air. Brady has done very well for himself and allowed the team to add pieces

I mean being he's arguably the greatest at his position and all. He should be the highest paid player.

Let's see how the pre-season goes since it will be mostly Garap playing. If he does well there, then it will be an interesting start to the season and owners will simply cry that even with Brady suspended the Pats really didn't get slowed down!!! (-;
