Glad to see you and the jet obsessed TP have smoothed over your differences and opted for public handies. Now, maybe you and Wozzy can have a similar PDA and all will be right with the group of "fans" who care more about other teams losing than their team winning. Maybe you can post here once in a while to give TP some backup. He looks really pathetic when it gets to 20 posts in a row of just him talking to himself about what brand shirt zach wilson was wearing in Hawaii. I never have had problems with TP. We have disagreed in the past but nothing like you are indicating. The more this clown bloviates, be it public or private, the bigger jackass he makes of himself. Let's hope that this clown continues to stick around. He's almost as comical as his pathetic Gag Green team. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning to all my posting pals - and greetings and felicitations to y'all in Green Gotham! Apparently the national media last year discovered first hand that Murphy's Law still reigns over Green Gotham. You be the judge: After a busy early free agency period, the Jests still aren’t getting much respect from Vegas oddsmakers. Gag Green has bulked up their offensive line and added to their receiving corps with still a month to go before the NFL draft, in which they hold the 10th overall pick But that hasn’t been enough to get them into early Super Bowl conversations. The Jets are currently +3000 to win the 2025 Lombardi Trophy, which is tied with the Falcons, Chargers and Rams for the 12th-best odds in the NFL at BetMGM Sportsbook. The Jests and Chargers are also even with the seventh-best odds to win the AFC at +1600. In the AFC East, BetMGM is giving the Jests the third-best shot (+250) at winning the division behind the Buffalo Bills (+130) and Miami Dolphins (+200). The Jests intend to prove these folks wrong. Joe Douglas and Co. added Tyron Smith, Morgan Moses and John Simpson to an offensive line that was perhaps the team’s biggest weakness outside of the quarterback position. They also added Mike Williams, who will pair with Garrett Wilson in an excellent 1-2 punch at wide receiver. After finishing 7-10 last season, the Jests will also have a solid crack at improving through the draft. The Jests are the betting favorites to pick tight end Brock Bowers (+230) at FanDuel Sportsbook. Perhaps the most important addition will be the health of quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The Jests had Super Bowl aspirations before Rodgers suffered a season-ending Achilles injury just minutes into the season. At one point last March, after Rodgers announced his intention to play for the Jests, only five teams – the Chiefs (+550), Bills (+850), Bengals (+900), Eagles (+900) and 49ers (+900) – had better Super Bowl odds than Robert Saleh’s club (+1200). nypost.com/2024/03/20/sports/2025-super-bowl-odds-jets-still-far-from-contenders-after-mike-williams-o-line-additions/LOL!!!!!!!!

After the additions made through free agency, it appears that the Jests are in a position to trade down. They are without their 2nd (Rodgers trade) and fifth round picks in the upcoming draft.
The Jets, who are also without a fifth-rounder, have seven total selections, two of which are compensatory seventh-round picks.

Using the No. 10 overall selection to increase the number of quality picks at Douglas's disposal is an idea worth exploring for a team that lacks proven backups at multiple positions like safety and offensive tackle.
By addressing four starting spots well ahead of the draft, Douglas opened up draft-day opportunities that seemed unattainable only two weeks ago.
Jets' 2024 Selections
Round 1 — No. 10 overall
Round 3 — No. 72 overall
Round 4 — No. 111 overall
Round 4 — No. 134 overall
Round 6 — No. 185 overall
Round 7 — No. 256 overall
Round 7 — No. 257 overall

Did the Jets hit their free agency goals? The No. 1 objective was to revamp the offensive line, which was a wreck last season. They did that by adding three starters without breaking the bank -- Smith, Moses and LG John Simpson. If the Jets can squeeze a good season out of Smith and Moses, both 33, the Aaron Rodgers-led offense should be much improved. -- Rich Cimini
Moses was obtained this March for a sixth round pick and an exchange of fourth rounders. Translation, he was taking up some other team's valuable roster spot, the less good kind of space eater. The Baltimore Ravens ate part of Morgan Moses's bonus so the Jets only have to pay his salary, and they can cut him in August and pay him zero salary if his 33 year old shoulder that ailed him all last year hasn't healed (shoulders often don't really heal), or if any other part of him still doesn't work. This guy is the Jets' number one hope for protecting Aaron Rodgers? How can Mr. Cimini expect that they're going to squeeze a full season out of a sixth rounder castoff?
Tyron Smith racked up an incredible amount of mileage on his tires in his first nine NFL seasons, but then the last four have seen all sorts of injuries. He's been out a lot for four years and he continues to not get any younger. Bad backs are problematic in the NFL. If what you used to be equals what you are now, they could bring back Joe Namath.
Very-Tucked has seriously short arms, if only he could grow a pair. That's why he was listed in his draft combine writeup as susceptible to athletic defensive interior linemen such as Christian Barmore who could blow right by him if not double teamed. And, it turns out, that was Very-Tucked's problem last year.

Just as was the case last year, Gag Green is relying on a bunch of injury prone veterans that were cast off by another team to solve their OL troubles. Does anybody really believe that these OL newbies will be dependable stalwarts over the entire season - and this includes Rodgers? Aaron can hope and try as hard as he might - but he's no Tom Brady.

Good morning to all my posting pals - and greetings and felicitations to y'all in Green Gotham! After playing 13 seasons for the Cowboys, Tyron Smith is getting used to the idea that he will be wearing green and white this fall, and not blue and silver. “This is definitely a huge change for me, especially being in Dallas for a while,” Smith said Thursday. “Everybody knows how the business goes, and sometimes you’ve got to leave. I’m just happy I’m going to a team like the Jests to help out any way I can to help produce a winning culture.” The Jests and Smith agreed to a one-year deal last week that starts at $6.5 million and, with incentives, can go up to $20 million if the Jests win Super Bowl 2025. Smith is an eight-time Pro Bowler who has been one of the best left tackles in football for more than a decade. But he is 33 years old and has played 30 games over the past four seasons. That led to some teams shying away from signing Smith. "I just knew my main options were either going to be in Dallas or with the Jests,” Smith said. “With the way things were looking in Dallas, I knew it was most likely going to be the Jests. I honestly got excited for a new chapter in my life.” Smith is part of Jests general manager Joe Douglas’ plan to rebuild the offensive line in front of quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The team also signed left guard John Simpson and traded with the Ravens for right tackle Morgan Moses. Smith said playing with Rodgers appealed to him as well as being part of what the Jests are building. “I just feel like they all have the pieces together right now with the final pieces [coming] in this offseason to produce a team that could go all the way,” Smith said. “I’ve played against Aaron throughout my career a couple of times. I know what kind of quarterback he is. I know what he can do if you just give him a little bit of time. I’m just here to do my best and give him that time.” Smith played 13 games last season and was named second-team All-Pro. nypost.com/2024/03/21/sports/tyron-smith-made-a-20-million-jets-bet-on-himself/

Jest sign free agent RT Morgan Mosely revealed the following: Morgan Moses is back in New York after the Jets acquired the right tackle from the Baltimore Ravens earlier this offseason. “I’m truly happy to be back in New York,” Moses told the media Thursday. Moses also revealed an interesting injury nugget from last season. Moses said he suffered a torn pectoral muscle in Week 4. He still went on to play 14 games for the Ravens last season in helping Baltimore claim the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoffs and give quarterback Lamar Jackson his second career MVP award. Moses said he said had surgery six weeks ago and that he feels great. He’s “looking forward to playing with two arms” this season and says he’s “100 percent planning to be ready for training camp.” jetswire.usatoday.com/2024/03/21/morgan-moses-says-he-played-through-torn-pec-in-2023/

Technically, the Chargers could try to extend Mike Williams, rather than cut him, but they might decide that’s not in their best interest. The former first-round pick is entering his age-30 season, coming off a serious injury, and has a violent play style that probably won’t age too well.
Often enough, players coming off of an ACL injury are a step slow their first year back, but they regain that step by their second year back. The Jets don't have two years.
Whenever a team trails by 8 points late in the fourth quarter, they think in terms of making a six point touchdown and then making a 2 point conversion. Making the two point play is an additional risk but it's the team's only remaining path to a tie game. I see the Jets taking multiple damaged player chances with risky free agent signings because their last remaining Aaron Rodgers season will be over with no playoffs if they don't take every one of these extra risks right now. I could wish the Jets luck, either that or I could call out for some popcorn.

Good morning to all my posting pals - and greetings and felicitations to y'all in Green Gotham! I had previously read elsewhere that veteran edge rusher Jadeveon Clowney had signed on with the Atlanta Falcons. Apparently, that's not true. Clowney is still a available, and is allegedly being hotly pursued by those lovable New York football Jests: Clowney has reached at least nine sacks in four of the last seven seasons, doing so for the Texans, Browns and Ravens. Clowney has also spent time with the Seahawks (2019) and Titans (2020). The Jests would love to land Clowney to help fill the void left from the loss of Bryce Huff and his ten sacks to the Philadelphia Eagles in free agency. The Jests are hovering around $8.5 million in cap space, per Over the Cap, though that number doesn’t yet reflect the contract of re-signed defensive tackle Solomon Thomas. Chances are, if the Jests sign Clowney, they will use void years to lessen the cap hit, as they have with Tyron Smith and Mike Williams. jetswire.usatoday.com/2024/03/23/report-jets-highly-motivated-to-secure-deal-with-jadeveon-clowney/

Jests carnival barker Robert Saleh is at it again. First he talks about how he "welcomes the silence of the 2024 off-season as opposed to last off-season." But then he starts stirring up sky high expectations for his 2024 Gag Green team, just as he's always done since he took over in 2021. Do y'all remember "all gas, no brake??" You be the judge: “Last year was a little loud,” Saleh told Steve Wyche of NFL Media. “We welcome a little bit of quietness.” Then Carny Barker Saleh says: "Aaron (Rodgers), he’s on a mission,” Saleh said. “He’s doing his rehab. He’s out in California, I believe. Obviously he’s taking some time for himself. He was ready to go last year, man. So I know he’s getting ready. We speak to him often. I don’t want to speak for him, but I am going to speak for him and say that he’s really excited about attacking this season.” Next he crows, "[I’m] excited to attack this season and try to accomplish the things we were supposed to accomplish a year ago,” Saleh said. That's the same BS that you spouted season, Baghdad Bob. It won’t be easy. The schedule isn’t as daunting as last year...but they still face the three teams in their own division twice, all four teams of the NFC West, all four teams of the AFC South, the Steelers, Broncos, and Vikings. Like last year, they’ll be counting on plenty of aging players at key positions to get and stay healthy through the grind of a 17-game regular season and, if they qualify. If they don’t qualify, that’ll be that for most of the players, coaches, and executives currently on owner Woody Johnson’s payroll. Gag Green is once again all in - this franchise that is renowned for its foibles and tomfoolery. All this while still playing in Green Gotham, where Murphy’s Law still reigns supreme! www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/robert-saleh-jets-welcome-the-quietness-this-yearLOL!!!!!!!!!

Good morning to all my posting pals - and greetings and felicitations to y'all in Green Gotham! Will the New York football Jests be able to find some team willing to make a trade of sorts for Zach Wilson at the league meetings? The Jests have been trying to find someone to trade for quarterback Zach Wilson, the second overall pick in the 2021 draft. They’ve had no luck doing that. The league meetings give them an opportunity to make a deal, since power players from every team will be in the same place. Will they? He has a fully-guaranteed compensation package of just over $5.5 million. It’s hard to imagine any team welcoming that financial burden. If they cut him, Wilson could sign with another team for the three-year minimum of $1.055 million, with the Jests on the hook for the balance. New York’s best move could be to agree to pay that amount and then hope for something paltry in return. Even then, the new team would be on the hook for the $1.055 million in remaining guaranteed salary, wiping out the freedom to decide by late August to move on with no financial consequence. The most likely outcome could be that the Jests will have to just cut the cord on Wilson and hope to eventually save $1.055 million. The sad part, for Wilson, is that he still might develop into a good quarterback. He has been stigmatized by three years of failure in New York. Some of it surely is on him. But there could be other factors at play. He wasn’t a reach at No. 2. Most saw him as the clear second choice behind quarterback Trevor Lawrence. How much of his struggles trace to him, and how much trace to his circumstances, coaching, etc.? No one has been willing to make the bet by agreeing to take on all or part of his guaranteed salary, and by giving up draft capital or whatever else it would have to trade for him. As noted by Rich Cimini of ESPN.com, the Chiefs are the only team with a clear opening at the backup quarterback position. From the moment it appeared that Wilson wasn’t long for New York (basically, after the Thursday night debacle against the Jaguars in late 2022), a chance to learn from Patrick Mahomes, Andy Reid, and company made the most sense. It still makes sense for the Chiefs to give Wilson a try. If they can do it for a non-guaranteed $1.055 million salary in 2024, maybe they will. www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/will-jets-find-a-taker-for-zach-wilson-at-league-meetingsPerhaps the Chiefs will give Zachy an opportunity to continue his career and improve - once the Jests release him. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

According to the Jests, they have fielded some offers from other teams, but just don't like them: www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/source-jets-have-gotten-trade-offers-for-zach-wilsonHere's some examples: 1.) The Kansas City Chiefs offered to accept Zach Wilson and his contract. The deal is that they'll give up their 2024 6th round pick in exchange for Gag Green's 2024 3rd and 7th round picks. 2.) The Washington Commie have offer to take Zachy off the hands of Gag Green. The deal is Zachy and the Jests 3rd rounder for the Commies 7th rounder. I wonder why the Jests wouldn't like these ficticious offers? LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning to all my posting pals - and greetings and felicitations to y'all in Green Gotham! Could Zach be back? Jests owner Woody Johnson said Monday that the team won’t release quarterback Zach Wilson if it can’t find a trade partner for him. “If we don’t trade him, we’re going to keep him,” Johnson said at the NFL owners meetings. The Jests have been trying to find someone interested in taking the former No. 2 overall pick off their hands, but nothing has materialized. Johnson may have just been posturing on Monday to try to avoid destroying any trade value Wilson may have, but it was surprising to hear Johnson say the Jests would consider holding onto Wilson. Johnson acknowledged that it would be better for Wilson to get a fresh start with another team. "From his standpoint, it’s probably better if he changes faces and gets to a new place and he can wipe the slate clean,” Johnson said. “I think that would probably be better for him.” While Johnson said that a new team would be in Wilson’s best interest, he made it clear he is not going to just give him away. “Zach is a valuable asset,” Johnson said. “I said it would be better for him. No, we’re not just going to release him.” Jests general manager Joe Douglas said he has been talking to Wilson’s agent, Brian Ayrault, who has had permission to find a trade partner since just after the season ended. Douglas said he also has talked to some teams, but nothing is imminent. “There have been a lot of good conversations with his agent,” Douglas said Monday. “There have been some discussions with teams regarding a trade. I’ve got no news to report. There’s nothing close to being done on that front.” Johnson’s tone about Wilson changed from Super Bowl week last month when Johnson said, “We need a backup quarterback. We didn’t have one last year.” Wilson went 12-21 as a Jests starter and had struggles on and off the field during his first three seasons. Johnson said he wishes Wilson got to sit behind Aaron Rodgers last season, as the team planned. Instead, Wilson took over four plays into the season when Rodgers got hurt. “I feel badly about Zach in some ways,” Johnson said. “Last year would have been great, it would have been the first time he could just sit back and watch a master at work. He’s never had that. He’s been in the fire from Day 1. I think that’s what he needs. He needs to be in a place where he can observe for a while. He’s got the skill. He can do everything. There’s a reason we drafted him at No. 2 overall. I have confidence that he’ll get there at some point.” There was a report from Pro Football Talk on Monday that the Jets have received offers for Wilson but Johnson has been the one stopping the trade. Johnson said that is not true. “I don’t nix them,” Johnson said. “If it was nixed, it would be Joe that nixed it. The Jests and Wilson would both benefit from a trade getting done sooner rather than later, but Douglas said it has to be a move that works for the Jests. They don’t just want to unload him. “I think the trick is to have it be beneficial for the team and the player,” Douglas said. “And I think that’s what everybody’s working toward, but ultimately we’re going to have to do what’s right for the team.” Douglas spoke to reporters before Johnson said the team would not release Wilson. Douglas was asked if he could envision Wilson remaining with the Jests into 2024. “We’re so early in this offseason process,” Douglas said. “There’s a lot of meat left on the bone when it comes to even getting to training camp or even OTAs. I haven’t even given that much thought.” nypost.com/2024/03/25/sports/jets-will-keep-zach-wilson-if-they-cant-trade-him-woody-johnson/Lots of posturing here - and, as always with the Jests, lots of wishful thinking. So, it hasn't crossed GM Joe's mind to keep Zachy? Isn't that all we need to know about Zachy's future in Green Gotham? LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning to all my posting pals - and greetings and felicitations to y'all in Green Gotham! Ah, the Jests! One of the worst-kept secrets in the NFL this offseason has been the NY Jests' desire to trade Zach Wilson. In fact, even calling it a "secret" feels like an insult to other secrets. The Jests desperately want to move on from their former No. 2 overall pick, and it's highly likely that feeling is mutual. Unfortunately, their team owner, Woody Johnson, is doing his organization no favors. Johnson spoke at the NFL owners meeting on Monday and insisted that Wilson was a "valuable asset" for the Jests and that his team would not release him under any circumstances. Johnson said that the Jests will consider a trade, but if they're unable to find a trade partner, they will simply keep him on their roster. This would have been fine and completely acceptable had Johnson not publicly trashed his quarterback less than two months ago. Speaking at the NFL Honors event last month, Johnson remarked that the Jests "didn't have a [real] backup quarterback" last season. Johnson went from publicly throwing Wilson under the bus to claiming he's a valuable asset in roughly six weeks. His latest comments do nothing to increase Wilson's trade value — they only serve the purpose of making the Jests' owner look foolish. Reports had emerged late last year that Wilson and the Jests had privately agreed to mutually part ways in the offseason. Of course, Wilson would end up reluctantly returning to the starting lineup after only to suffer a head injury in December that effectively ended his Jests career. While Johnson insists the Jests won't outright release Wilson, it's hard to envision a scenario in which he's on the roster come Week 1. That doesn't seem to be in the best interest of either party. Wilson has already made it abundantly clear that he wants a fresh start this offseason — something Johnson openly alluded to in his comments on Monday. He's also had his own team owner publicly trash him to the media. Wilson does not want to be a member of the Jests' organization anymore, and it serves the Jests no purpose to carry him into the summer as a disgruntled third-string quarterback just taking up a roster spot. Johnson's latest comments reek of damage control following his misguided and nonsensical remarks last month. He's trying — and failing — to salvage whatever trade value Wilson might have left at this point. This comes on the heels of a report from Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk on Monday that insinuated Johnson might be the one preventing the Jets from trading Wilson. Florio's report insists the Jests have received offers for Wilson but that they've turned them down — quite possibly at the behest of Johnson. Whether that last part is accurate or not (Johnson has denied the report), Johnson continues to insert himself into the situation with his hypocritical public comments. Here's to hoping the Jests find a taker for Wilson and that the organization keeps Johnson away from a live microphone for the foreseeable future. thejetpress.com/posts/woody-johnson-fool-hypocritical-ny-jets-zach-wilson-commentsLOL!!!!!!!!!!!

The New York football Jests were hoping to land edge-rusher Jadeveon Clowney to help fill the void left by the loss of Bryce Huff. That dream ended Wednesday as Clowney will sign with the Carolina Panthers. This comes just days after general manager Joe Douglas told reporters the Jests had an “outstanding” visit with Clowney, but the Panthers likely talked Clowney into joining them with extra money. The deal is for two years and $20 million with a maximum value of $24 million. The Jests now remain in the market for an edge-rusher to join Jermaine Johnson, Will McDonald and Micheal Clemons. Clowney would have added more firepower following his 9.5-sack season, but Clowney also now has the chance to go back near home. He is from Rock Hill, South Carolina and played his college football for the Gamecocks. jetswire.usatoday.com/2024/03/27/jets-miss-out-on-jadeveon-clowney-pass-rusher-signs-with-panthers/

With the 2024 NFL draft still a month away, let alone the start of the season, there appears to be be acrimony between Robert Saleh and his boss, team owner Woody Johnson. It's been reported that a "heated conversation" took place between these two, just before the NFL owner's meeting. www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/nfl-media-mongers-rumor-of-woody-johnson-robert-saleh-very-heated-conversationAfter the way his Jests have performed over the past two seasons under Saleh's watch, can you blame Johnson for being a bit testy with his team's head coach? LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Woody Johnson is now screaming that the report about his heated argument with his head coach and carnival barker Robert Saleh is false! All this nonsense about a heated argument between Coach Saleh and me at the League Meeting is absolutely false,” Johnson posted on X. “It is yet another irresponsible report from NFL Network. Please disregard.” Wait, what? When else has NFL Network had a report that the Jets regarded as irresponsible? If anything, NFL Media is milquetoast when it comes to controversial topics, because it’s owned and operated by the league. That’s what made the gossipy pivot to rumor mongering regarding an owner so stunning. More stunning is Johnson’s reaction. But it’s not surprising. In this day and age, any news about you that you don’t like is automatically fake. Even if the news is coming from a media company you own: www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/woody-johnson-nfl-network-report-of-heated-argument-with-robert-saleh-is-absolutely-falseFolks...even if he and Saleh screamed at each other, whats the big deal? Who really cares! But, after this angry reply to the report by Johnson...me thinks dost does protest too much Woody. Folks, you be the judge! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
