A lot of chatter right now, with plenty of info to pass along:
1. It sounds like Wolf, Mayo & Groh have been quite collaborative, and they're leaning towards starting a QB this year.
2. At #3, they'll either draft someone, trade up, or trade back, to acquire more assets, and still be able to draft someone they like.
3. If they draft a QB at #3, it will be Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, JJ McCarthy, Drake Maye, Michael Penix Jr., or Bo Nix. No others are being considered at this time.
4. If they draft at #3, and it's not one of the aforementioned QB's, it will likely be an OT, OG, C, TE, RB, WR, DT, ED, LB, CB or S.
5. They've scouted and talked to a bunch of players, and are really high on some of them.
6. They're looking to draft football players who are good at playing football.
7. They plan to sign some free agents, once free agency opens.
8. With their own free agents, they'll either sign some of them, or they won't.
9. With the "GM Search", they plan to either hire someone from outside the organization, or go with an inhouse candidate.
10. There's a really good chance that their roster will look different than it did last season.

Yeah, with Joe specifically, my sources are telling me he's either on their draft board, or he's not... and if they draft him, it'll be because they like him as a player.

Well I really hope your sources are not wrong because if they are the Patriots are drafting either a kicker or punter at #3 overall, have no plans to sign any FA's and plan to run the wildcat all year with no starting QB's.
And as funny as that may sound, based on Mac's play last year and Ryland's inconsistency that may actually be an improvement to 5 or 6 wins next year

Thanks MB.
I don’t know if you’re taking questions, and whether you can go back to your sources, but I had a few follow-up musings:
Will it still be called a draft War Room, or is that too militaristic sounding?
I’ve heard mention about changes in culture. Did they swab the facility before the old regime left to see what toxins were present?
What about timeout usage: are we likely to see them used more productively, incorporating teachable moments?

I’ve heard mention about changes in culture. Did they swab the facility before the old regime left to see what toxins were present? What about timeout usage: are we likely to see them used more productively, incorporating teachable moments? Good questions, and I'll answer them with my own thoughts. 1. In an effort to be less triggering, and more inclusive, the "War Room" is expected to be renamed the "Collaboration Station". This will allow them to be more collaborative. 2. Cooties are ever present in our new world, we just have to accept that. So, in an effort to sanitize, and prove that he's not cheap, RKK has allocated $82.95 into the team budget to make the facilities cleaner and safer for all. 3. With a new regime comes new terminology. So, in place "timeout", Mayo will now pull out his sword, point it towards the sky and yell "Thundercat's, HO!" (see below video for example). Please note that "Thundercat's HO!" is not a reference to one of RKK's favorite bang-bang parlor girls. I hope this clarifies some things, and let me know if you have any additional asks!

“Safe Space” will be another acceptable term for what was formerly known as the “War Room”. Mayo wants to be nice, funny, everyone’s friend, crack lots of jokes, and feel happy and safe at all times. Let this younger generation of players feel happy, safe, and appreciated. And most importantly make them feel like they run the show and call the shots. So another acceptable term for “War Room” is now “Safe Space”. And there will be ice cream machines with hot fudge and sprinkles in the cafeteria. At least that’s what I’m hearing from my “sources”.
