Bryce Young benched. Panthers in shambles. This is the nightmare scenario if we put Maye in too early.

Bottom line Bryce Young sucks and should have never been drafted #1. There are a dozen top QB’s that were drafted high that just weren’t good or didn’t translate to the NFL game for whatever reason. That is why Maye should be playing they need to know what they have. |

That is why Maye should be playing they need to know what they have. Stroud is an anomaly though. I'm not saying it would happen that way, I'm just saying thats one very possible scenario. I'm guessing we disagree on the idea of environment affecting a player vs just if a player is good or sucks, and I do think Bryce Young ultimately sucks, but we're seeing guys like Darnold, Mayfield, Goff and Carr doing better with better weapons and lines around them, something they didn't have earlier in their careers (except for Goff). |

Mayfield in Cleveland threw 92 TD passes and made the playoffs, Carr in Oak/LV threw for over 4000 yards multiple times and I think 9 of the 10 years had over 20 TD’s and a 30 plus season. Of course you need the right situation to thrive but watching a guy play you can tell 90% off time the guys that are legit NFL QB’s. Get Maye out there so we can see if he is NFL legit. If I’m the Pats I’d rather know now than later. |
