Patriots should have kept Blount. I like Gileslee Blount had an awesome season last year but his 1st wasnt better than what Mike is giving us this year. + he's younger and has better potential IMO Mike has a few good runs, if our O-line improves no reason to believe his numbers won't improve as well so far, i think we're fine at RB position specially if we factor in Burkhead in that equation as well I just think Blount can get the short yards when needed and is better to turn to to grind out the clock. I think the Pats are lacking both of those.

Patriots should have kept Blount. I will always be a Blount fan but I understand BB's logic, get rid of an older guy a year early and replace him with a RB with youth and less wear and tear.

What I observed. Blount seem to burst better through the line than he did last year - o-line better
Panthers got all the calls, similar to the Patriots game. WTfk? in the NFL trying to get the Panthers back to the top?

WTfk? in the NFL trying to get the Panthers back to the top? Through 6 games, Carolina has had only 25 penalties called against versus 34 to their benefit. Top team is SF with 49 in only 5 games. What may surprise some here is the Patriots counts: 39 against and 40 to their benefit. Top team there is Cleveland at 48! Some of you may have thought it would be worse for the Pats and the issue may be the timing of the calls.

It's hard to compare stats and say gilli gets the same yards as Blount would have or did last year.... Etc.. I just think the team misses that attitude that Blount brings. Hard to pin it down, but the result is less carries, more hits on Brady. No attitude.... But it has gotten better particularly in Tampa game..
