St. Patrick is not a happy camper: The Kansas City Chiefs were handed a crushing defeat for the second consecutive week, falling in the final minutes to the Buffalo Bills with more controversy regarding the officiating. The shocking, offensive offside penalty on receiver Kadarius Toney before an incredible lateral from Travis Kelce cost the team a go-ahead touchdown and a memorable victory at Arrowhead Stadium. Patrick Mahomes was visibly emotional and upset with the referees as the game ended. He didn’t mince words about the controversial penalty during the Chiefs’ post-game press conference. “It’s the call, and just in that moment, I mean, it’s not even for me; I know how much everybody puts into this game,” Mahomes explained. “For it to happen, for a flag to change the outcome of the game. And that moment, I mean, I’ve played seven years and never had had offensive offsides called. [You learn] that [in] elementary school. We talked about, pointing to the ref all that different type of stuff, and if it doesn’t get called me, if it does, they warn you. chiefswire.usatoday.com/2023/12/10/kansas-city-chiefs-patrick-mahomes-lambasts-referees-after-controversial-penalty-vs-buffalo-bills/Whining away is not a good look for allegedly the game's best player, and the "new" GOAT. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!! The thing I don’t get is...it was a penalty, right? Why is he complaining like that? It was a legit penalty, and if the Chiefs had gone out and tried to trade for a decent veteran receiver before the deadline they wouldn’t be stuck with that numb nut dope, Toney. Honestly, how dumb can Toney be? And he was walking around after the game like he just woke up from a nap. But for Mahomes, that was a bad look. He looked like a little whining brat.

It’s one thing thing to cry about the refs in a presser or an interview but when you shake your opponents hand have some class and at a minimum say hey tough game we’ll see you again. This right here is kinda classless, for the best QB in the league to whine like a little baby during a handshake.

He was the best quarterback in the league when he was surrounded with first rate talent. But now? He's no Brady.

Maybe I misheard it, but I thought Romo said Tay-Tay was sitting with Kelce's wife when he meant to say that she was sitting with his mother.

I guess that doesn’t really matter for him/and winning, but it’s a bad look nonetheless.

Its bad, but at least somewhat understandable enough when your saying that when your season just ended in a heartbreaker playoff setting (emotions; season ending on a penalty call), but in a regular season game you just gotta be better as a competitor. I've defended him before as I thought he was the one chief I actually respected as a leader but after this clown show, I don't even know what to say anymore. Utter trash.

Allen and Mahomes are actually close friends-- they golf together, and communicate fairly often. And Mahomes came out the next day and said that his interaction with Allen was his biggest regret regarding his behavior after the game.
But watching Allen in that interaction, I don't think he felt disrespected in the slightest. In fact, I imagine he was to some degree sympathetic. Allen has certainly endured some pretty egregious calls himself, including a horse-collar tackle the previous week vs. the Eagles (right in front of a ref) that was so violent, it slammed him to the ground, and tore his jersey.

Horse collar tackles should be legal.

Where did I say Allen felt “disrespected”. I didn’t mention anything about Allen or any Bill. He could have been shaking hands with anyone it didn’t matter, man up say nice game and go whine in your presser or some other interview. The fact you said he apologized for it makes my point. Let me say it again Mahomes whining like a little bitch in a post game handshake is classless, IMO.

I was just adding some context to a clip you posted.

Bad, sad news for St. Patrick. His Dad, Patrick Mahomes Sr., has been arrested for driving while intoxicated again. Since Patrick Sr. has already been convicted twice for this offense, this third one can be enhanced to a felony. Should that be the case, Patrick Sr. will be potentially looking at 2-10 years in the pen. www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/father-of-patrick-mahomes-pat-mahomes-sr-faces-third-dui-chargeTaking into consideration who he is, and how much he could spend on lawyers, him ending up in prison is doubtful. Look for a probated sentence at worst, or even a guilty plea to a lesser misdemeanor offense. Nonetheless, this has to be both embarrassing and a matter of concern to his son. St. Patrick's brother, Jackson, also has legal problems with his arrest last May: www.foxnews.com/sports/jackson-mahomes-arrested-aggravated-sexual-battery-charge-restaurant-incidentYikes!!

This is hard for me to admit to - and I hate to say this, but the Kansas City Chiefs have become a worthy successor to our beloved Patriots. The way that they were built is so similar to the Belichick/Brady Patriots. Andy Reid is their BB. Patrick Mahomes is their Brady. Travis Kelce is their Gronk. Chris Jones is their Richard Seymour. Their assistant coaches and GM are top notch. They find a way every year to patch up their OL, and their special teams are special - just like the Patriots. Their kickers and coverage folks are first rate - and they have a knack of signing veteran free agents who always seem to fit their roles, and get the job done: www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/arrowheadlines-the-chiefs-are-beating-the-system/ar-BB1iLcGS?ocid=entnewsntp&pc=DCTS&cvid=c93dba2d12114ac3ee3f695752bc2bb6&ei=45

The Chiefs are the current king of the hill and have yet to miss the playoffs in 9 seasons. It happens. Patriots did what they did and that is history that can't be changed. Chiefs are writing their history. Only question: "How long will it last?".

No - but I don't think any of us expected that it would happen so soon after the Patriots dynasty crumbled.
