Charlie spoke on his show on Sirius this morning after watching all 10 episodes of the dynasty. He did not disappoint. If you want to get a gist of what he was saying you can listen tomorrow during the 11 o'clock hour. He called the doc a Kraft hit piece or something to that effect. Since watching the doc he has communicated with several ex Pats and their take of the doc. Tomorrow he will have as guest Scar, Adam V. and I did not catch who else. Should be interesting!

Kraft hit piece? To what end, BB is gone. If he was still here, what would be the outcome..Th3 doc was alledgedly started a couple of years ago. About the beginning of BB’s downfall. I just dont see an upside for Kraft.

Not happy with Kraft!!! I agree that this Doc was a smear campaign against Bill. Kraft couldn't distance himself enough from Bill.

Not happy with Kraft!!! I agree that this Doc was a smear campaign against Bill. Kraft couldn't distance himself enough from Bill. I think the kudos towards Kraft are more that he was able to mediate the now known major rifts for the 20+ years. the boo birds are chirping that Kraft is petty for airing dirtly laundry. those same birds are asking why the soc was slanted favorably towards Kraft, and showing Bill in a poor light. yet all the poor light was directed towards Bill, and he had plenty of air time all thru the doc, not talking, not saying, not going into things. some eat that up. I don't. Bill. you are retired. Mal. you are retired. what happened? why did Mal sit all game, with his helmet on, crying? I maintain the laundry has been known bit by bit for a while now, and now that it out in the open, people are going to talk. even Brady has. 50-60 players did. Pioli. Josh. JK. honestly, I didn't want to hear Rodney say Bill was great and like a father to me. I wanted to hear why didn't Malcolm play. why did Tom get thrown under the deflate bus? why did Tom leave? the doc (and the book) hit a lot of heads on nails for me. I wasn't interested in a back slapping, look how great we were in those days doc.

I wasn't interested in a back slapping, look how great we were in those days doc. For every minute of airtime, there is typically a few hours of film/tape on the cutting room floor, so every director can choose what they want each person to say or not say and make each look however they want. And with this airing in March, 99% if not 100% of the filming was done while Bill was still employed and coaching during the season.
This is supposed to be about a dynasty of 20 years, and yet never talked to any of the early coaching staff, skipped two SBs, etc. Haven't read his book or watched a minute of this and will not. Rather watch games on tape and contemporaneous interviews. Don't want to know how active Kraft was in building the dynasty and maintaining it, especially when he was always always said to be a hands off owner and was praised for it.
What I am really interested in learning is how well he and his son have restructured the team and if they got lucky again, or if the law of averages kicks in and there will be a few more restructures coming. And please keep him away from the new players, don't want him falling in love with another scrub.

A lot of people hear the word “documentary” and they think it’s a historical retelling. It’s not. Even the best of the genre have a bias, slant, or POV that the producers/directors want to put forward.

I was waiting for the entire series to be out before binge watching it. I have no plans to watch it now. It's clear as day that Jeff Benedict cherry picked the hell out of his clips and interviews to focus on drama and turmoil. Unlike many here, my finger is pointed at Jeff Benedict and Jeff Benedict alone.

Kraft hit piece? To what end, BB is gone. If he was still here, what would be the outcome..Th3 doc was alledgedly started a couple of years ago. About the beginning of BB’s downfall. I just dont see an upside for Kraft. The doc is based on the book of the same title, it was supposed the be the boost that propelled Kraft into the HOF as owner. It’s a PR campaign, an infomercial. So it paints him as a savior who was wholly responsible for everything and all things good, and no doubt he was giving BB pointers on how to coach from his years of football experience and expertise. It has backfired because everyone interviewed has come back to slam the doc as being manipulative and selectively edited to paint Bob as a saint who did all things right and BB, the one person most solely responsible for “The Dynasty,” as a tourist who was just along for the ride.

The doc (like most programming) is aimed at the widest possible audience. It really wasn't geared towards Patriots fans; it was geared towards the bigger pond of football fans, most of whom were spiteful of the Pats' success. It feeds that itch for the "outsider," hence the focus on the darker side of that 20 year run. That makes for good drama; that's what fuels subscribers.

You mean to tell me Kraft didn’t watch it before it aired? Then it had to be pointed out to him by fan backlash and he had no choice but to apologize. Kraft is just like any other owner. Trash

Bledsoe, Hoyer, Welkie, Gronk, Pioli... all have been frequently on the curcuit and talking about the doc. none of them are regretting what they said or did not say, or what was left on the cutting room floor.

Rkarp… you realize that everyone here has known you well over a decade and recognize that you’re the biggest BB hater on this site right? What’s sad is all that footage and all those interviews (no Weis, no Crennel, no Scar?) could have been used to produce an honest in-depth look into the greatest dynasty in pro football history. That there’s probably a treasure trove of untold stories and anecdotes Pat’s fans are starved for being wasted on a soap opera style hit piece just because Kraft wanted to look like the savior and the filmmaker suffers from Trump derangement syndrome… and you’re cheering for it. Pathetic… When a dozen or so participants call the results a farce and manipulative editing… it’s sht. You’re not fooling or convincing anyone because your bias is well known.
