if they don't pick a QB....
0:4:24
Brissett would certainly benefit?
Still waffling about whether Patriots pick a QB, LT, or WR........lol.
Still am favoring a trade w/ Giants for the #3 pick - for their #6 (2024 1st rd), #47 (2024 2nd rd), #70 (2024 3rd rd), and 1st round pick for 2025.
Or, trade #3 for Minnesota's #11, #23 in 2024 draft and 2025 1st round pick - and pick a QB, WR, LT for their first 3 picks.
Gronk thinks Maye will still be on the board when if Patriots pick at #3
Boston is #1 sports town in America - WOOT

honestly, I see no scenario that has the Pats staying at #3 and not choosing a QB the pick is way too valuable to not trade back if not picking a QB staying at #3 for a WR is a fire able offense for me.

I guess the Patriots will have 10 minutes after a team picks at #2 to make a decisions. Maybe they will get offered a very, very big back of picks for #3

If they wanted a receiver, at this point they could trade back to 6 and grab Malik Nabers, who might have just as much upside as MHJ if not more

I have a funny feeling that burning that bag of cash isn’t going to work out well.

I have a funny feeling that burning that bag of cash isn’t going to work out well. I agree that said, the team does still have in excess of $50m in cap space, and still has the ability to move some money around as they need. while they talked burning that bag of cash, their actions are that they have not

I think at this point, they are waiting to see what their needs are AFTER the draft before burning more cash.
SMART in my opinion.

While they might sign more FA's post-draft, I think the bulk of their spending has already taken place in that regard. If they were to "burn some cash" post draft, I think it'd be to extend someone they trade for.

We've talked about this I believe, but if he builds on last year, he could get something north of what Christian Wilkins got (4/$110M w/$82.75 GTD). They could also franchise him.

I would give Barmore north of what WIlkins got today, because a year from now the deal will be much, much higher. yes, you are correct. he could get franchised. two years in a row. he also could get hurt. there could be a willingness to sign

I have a funny feeling that burning that bag of cash isn’t going to work out well. nope, they still have to manage the moolah properly as far as trades and free agency is concerned. They also have to "win" on 2-3 of these draft picks this year.
