Don't know much about Scott Peters.
Anyone? is he an upgrade from Patricia and Klemm??
Still early, but have Patriots made any inroads to improving the OL; apart from resigning Onwenu?
Jake Andrews, OL
Andrew Stueber, OL
Michael Jordan, G Antonio Mafi, G Sidy Sow, G Cole Strange, G

Would love to hear from Dante Scarnecchia in regards to Scott Peters. Better yet, get Scarnecchia as a consultant?

I believe I heard his name discussed a while back in some podcasts with favorable reviews.

I believe I heard his name discussed a while back in some podcasts with favorable reviews. well, that's good to hear. The success of Patriots offense this upcoming season depends on improved play on OL....pass protection, run blocking.
I still think the Patriots will end up in bottom 1/3 for w-l record, but Patriots needs to start somewhere. Build team inside out....

while Pats fans are partial to Scar, league wide, Callahan is regarded as the top of league of OL coaches. Peters has been his assnt OL coach the past 4 seasons. Peters also played OC and OG in the NFL for 7 seasons. watching him coaching players on film, he seems to have that same Dan Campbell intensity

Klemm really was not there much at all last season. mysterious illness. not around the team. not asked back this season. Ferentz was coaching the rookie OL last season so we read. Peters has to be an upgrade over Ferentz, no?

Peters has to be an upgrade over Ferentz, no? How was OL "ranked" last year? middle 1/3? bottom 1/3? Enough of a change coaching/personnel wise to get OL in top 1/3?

I don't see it. they paid Onwenu like a stud, which I was ok with, but he is not a stud OT (yet). Sow showed lots of promise but still made a lot of rookie mistakes. what kind of growth will he have season 2? STrange has been over matched a lot while he has been on the field. he has missed a lot of time and has played a lot while injured, or not 100%. he is rehabbing again this offseason, so who knows what his offseason program has looked like? I could see J Andrews or Mafi pushing him for starters snaps. D ANdrews is fine at OC. There is no LT that has grabbed the job yet.

I hope Scott is not related to Robert L. Peters

If the players are healthy and Peters lives up to his billing (I've read the same things that Karp passed on) there should be a measurable difference in the play of the line. I would add that they need a quality solution at LT.

I would add that they need a quality solution at LT. enough to move OL performance to top 1/4 this upcoming season? I think I'll stick with my take of "measurable" improvement. It's too early to make that kind of judgement - we don't even know who the starting five will be.
