what viable alternatives were there? On the other side of coin, the Patriots could have NOT selected a QB at all, trade down w/ Giants or Minnesota - and focus on LT and WR positions. When would they have an oppt. to pick up a "franchise" QB?

If the team needed a QB, when do you get one? Yr 2026?

When would they have an oppt. to pick up a "franchise" QB? They drafted a guy to sit on the bench this season. Meanwhile the OL and and skill positions still have no talent. Another viable option would have been less of a gamble. Joe Alt or MHJ. There’s no way either of them are a bust. Thats besides the point. My post was about the Pats actively trying to sign Baramore. This is great news. Signing him would at least show me they’re willing to pay their own guys.

No way of knowing how good any of these guys will be but a team with the worst qb will be the worst team in the NFL. This was never going to be a one year rebuild.

I figured a year of Brissett is a better odds of a 1 in 6 chance of drafting the right QB.

Alot of people bashing the pick. Well it's done. Let's hope NE addresses O Line and Wr...let's hope Maye gets developmental time on bench and hope this kid can reach his potential.
Let's Go Pats Let's Go Drake
It's a "Maye Day"
