at least it’s not a N’keal Harry pick 🤮 He's a 4.5 forty receiver who according to his draft profile has trouble separating... he's shorter N'Keal. Just a dumb pick... His 10 yard is 1.52 which is not bad compared to Harry’s 1.62. He’s more quick than fast.

Jesus... and people thought BB 'reached'... at least it’s not a N’keal Harry pick 🤮 N'Keals draft profile, by 'an insider'... just... wow... STRENGTHS —Ideal No. 1 wide receiver build at 6'2" and a rocked-up 228 pounds with long arms, long legs and broad shoulders. —Owns the 50-50 ball with some Randy Moss-type plays on tape; elevates from the field flawlessly and has a great ability to adjust and track the ball in the air. —Uses his length and leaping ability to make big plays in the red zone and on the boundary when going up to attack the ball. —Knows how to separate with his body and route-running ability; running a 4.53 at the scouting combine was a major win for him. —Yards-after-catch master who's physical running with the ball in his hands; looks to pick up extra yardage and doesn't go down easily. —Big enough to beat press coverage off the line of scrimmage; has some Michael Thomas-like confidence and play style at the line when corners try to walk up on him. —Loves football and plays with a dog mentality; will stalk block and get physical in the run game; not afraid to take on tacklers.

Still preferred Trey Benson, who can also catch passes

For the draft guru’s why not Ladd McConkey or Adoni Mitchell?

He'll be okay with Maye. Polk is more compatible with a QB who can extend the pass play. Maye is better in doing that than Penix is. Penix relied more on timing and anticipation of who will be open in <2.6 secs. Odunze was the best guy on the other end that style of play. Polk took longer to get open. But he will get open. At best I see a physical possession receiver. Adonai Mitchell is a bit of a head case, I get it... he's also silly talented and fast. Jalen McMillan is the same size as Polk but he's a burner, Troy Franklin, Brendan Rice, Roman Wilson... take any of these guys, they'll probably be there in the third. Hell you want a physical jump ball guy... take 6'6" 230 pound Johnny Wilson in the 5th to 6th round. Just dumb IMO... should have taken a tackle or another WR. Physical guys who aren't agile doesn't work as well in the NFL as it does in college.

imma watch more Polk on youtube now. maybe I missed something. Great hands and concentration and contested catch success. After watching some more video, I feel just a tad better about this pick. He seems to be a tough guy, but I didn't really see anything that says #1 WR.
What I did see was a great QB throwing him dimes. If we had a boner for a QB @3, should have been Penix.

He had over 1000 yards with odunze on the other side. We shall see. This team needs speed though. How many times have we said this.

I’m hoping for WR Adonai Mitchell or LT Kingsley Suamatala. How about you? I’m feeling a lot less confident in this FO with each passing draft pick. It seems like they’re still evaluating WR’s different than the rest of the NFL. I’ll withhold judgement because they haven’t played a snap yet but I’m not overly optimistic.

Totally agree, just went and watched 3 highlight tapes of Polk, came away hugely impressed with Penix…… 1 thing, maybe Polk isn’t off the blocks fast, but in a lot of routes he had an efficient burst to get open down the field, he has quick feet, saw a lot of solid catches, a couple of spectacular ones…….maybe this pick works out……

Polk doesn't have to become a bust to be a bad pick in the second round.
They could have gotten similar production from a 5th or 6th round WR.
Jakobi Meyers was an UDFA. Ridiculous...

Is Polk better than Javon Baker?
Very similar WR profiles.

Mitchell is a diabetic, it’s going to cause him to drop.
Polk was considered the toughest of the Washington receivers with maybe the best hands in the draft. He’s not 4.3 fast, but we have a guy who runs a 4.2 and it doesn’t mean shit because he can’t run routes and is a giant [expletive]. Polk runs a 4.5 and seems to understand how to get separation a little bit. As long as BB isn’t picking receivers I’ll give the word on the benefit of the doubt.

If they were going to pick this guy they could have traded down ever further in the round. This pick was a reach. Pick was based on need and not talent.
