Let’s just start with this real football stat, because I honestly don’t care about his combine measurables vs another guy. How does this kid play on the actual field!? He played everywhere on the line, but mostly right because of his highly regarded teammate Fashanu on the left. I am almost positive we are moving this kid to the left side, at least he will be given the chance to prove he can do it.
This isn’t gonna be the old Pats offense where o-line needs to win one on one match ups straight up and hold their position. Van Pelt is gonna have this o-line moving, especially with the type of plays Maye can pull off.
Sure we could have traded up and gotten a “better” prospect but it doesn’t always work that way. As I dig into some tape, check out Tayler Kyles twitter, plus YouTube, this kid is gonna be good for us!

Unlike many, I don't think ritual seppuku is in order because of this pick. He's a very good RT, and it's too soon to say he won't be a good LT as well.
