1) Jonathan Cooper 2) Joe Thuney 3) Malcolm Mitchell 4) Much needed cap space
Do you like it? yet?

They weren't going to re-sign him so he had to be traded. They have already realized the cap space and signed some decent FA talent. I'm probably in the minority but I really like the Thuney pick and Cooper sticking would be a bonus. 112 would be the proverbial cherry if they hit it.

1) Jonathan Cooper 2) Joe Thuney 3) Pick #112 - who will it be (wil update after pick or trade) 4) Much needed cap space Do you like it? yet? Never been against the trade. Didn't think they'd re-sign him, so getting anything for him is a good thing. The value of what they got is still to be seen, but there's certainly some potential there for at least quality depth on the O line.

YES. They weren't going to sign him. It's a good deal weather Cooper, Thuney, Mitchell, pan out. It clears the deck for CAP SPACE.... Thumbs up

Again, he's a fourth rounder and you can never depend on fourth rounders working out (can you say Boyce?), but Mitchell sounds like a good fit at a position we need. I like this pick. Get a RB and our work is pretty much done.
I did think front seven would be more of a focus, but we got one more prospect on the interior D line, and the D line quality in this draft does not seem as attractive to actual NFL personnel guys as it was to the draftniks.

For me the final score is not yet decided. They had Jones for this year and this year they have a shot at a SB ring. The question is how will the players it translated into end up. Thuney is a real question. Could go either way and wont likely know till his 3rd year or possibly second. Cooper is also a real question. In fact he might have the greatest upside here but also a great possible downside (as in he gets cut before he ever makes a single good block in a regular season game). I have high HOPES for Cooper and hopes that Thuney works out as a good pass blocker somewhere along the offensive line.
As for Malcom Mitchell.... and yet another true question. I dont see how anyone can actually say it was a good or bad deal until the players prove themselves one way or the other.
