Thank you PFF for explaining that complex idea that Oline and WRs are important parts of making an offense work....who knew?? I have read on here multiple times that good receivers and TE's do not matter to us as much because we have won 6 superbowls, and have the best record in the league. Superior sports logic.

When you have more than you need that's called greed and covetousness. Come on digger this is sports we're talking about not food to feed families. More is better. Winning is the goal. From now on I will try to preface everything I say with "Bill knows more than I do, the Patriots are the best ever and could never be improved upon, the Patriots have never done anything wrong, we are perfect" This way we can talk about the team without any of the above every being in question...heaven forbid. You remain critical despite the treasures you have received during the 20 year dynasty. Belichick isn't perfect, he makes mistakes but he is better than anyone else at his job. The biggest reason is that he puts noone above team.

I think at this point we have to consider the reports of him trying to trade Brady and keep Jimmy 3 years ago to also be true. It was difficult to believe at the time but is it now? Did he try to get rid of Brady and Gronk before they both forced their way onto the team and went to 2 straight superbowls (should have won both). If this is true how do you feel about Bills choices in that regard? The issues with the lack of quality receivers, TE's and trying to phase out his QB for a few years are linked. They go hand in hand. I realize some of you do not want to believe that, but it's what happened.

Belichick has a track record of letting players go a year too early when they still have value or when they out-price themselves. It works. I don't know about the Jimmy thing. I suppose it could be true but I still have doubts about it. Gronk was rocking the boat. Was Brady the influence? It's possible according to some speculation. This comes back to noone being above the team. Brady and Gronk are on their last legs. I choose to turn the page.
