If pats want a QB, and if Stid isn’t it (we know Cam isn’t) they better take one this year...reports drop the experts is that next years crop is below average overall...

This deal for Marcus Cannon paired with Cam's low level contract leads me to believe we are getting a BIGGER QB (Watson, a Cam disciple) or top level rookie (Trey Lance, the next Cam). This is my prediction. What say you? Put the hash pipe down and just drink koolaid. |

I just do not see the Pats having the type of assets needed to secure a player like Watson.
I could see Lance falling. his play in school was great, but against inferior competition. he also has not played in quite some time. I think he is a long ways off, unless a team is willing to take its lumps with their QB play much like the Bills did with Allen.

Nick Cesario's first act as GM in Houston can't start with him trading their franchise QB to Belichick in New England... his career will be over before it starts.

I tend to aggressively with this thinking but IF BB liked Stid in practice he would have been playing. Unfortunately Stid has not impressed. I get that but then why was Newton still starting when the playoffs were already out of reach? Why not grant Stidham some reps and as the same time go up the draft ranks? Yeah, one plays for winning but until the point where you better play smart. I'm having a hard time remembering any point in BB's career where he gave up on the season or trying to win. The only time BB has ever placed a lesser product on the field than what he had available was due to injury, punishment, or protection, and the later only done when the game was safely in the W column for his team. |

Fields, Lance, Jones could fall to 15, not every team that fans believe will take a QB will do so.
Moreover the Patriots can trade up into the first to target a guy, there’s no rule that says they can’t.
The negativity is at an all-time high... go get some sunshine, workout or get laid.

Which means he'll probably be a bust. Jones is starting to grow on me, too. He does seem to be the ideal quarterback to run the Brady style of offense that we've seen for years. This "mobile quarterback" trend is not going to last - especially when the Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson types inevitably go down with injuries. |

I have been touting this guy for many months now. Love his upside and he is built and plays for the new NFL. Team will pay a ransom this year to move up. Pats are screwed. Naw we got cam. Lol. I keep saying it. If they’re gonna get a franchise QB the only way will be to hit on one in the later rounds because we will never get a chance to draft one of these top QBs in the first round. There is still Kellen Mond! |

Who do they trade up with? Philadelphia might want one at #6. Atlanta may want a young quarterback to groom under Matt Ryan at #4. The Jests of course need at quarterback at #2 overall. Denver at #9 and San Francisco at #12 may also be interested in trading up. I like your idea...but I don't see it happening. It’s highly unlikely the Eagles go quarterback at six. Therefore, they would be the most likely trade target if the pats decided to jump up Miami is at 3 and don't need a QB. They may need to trade! |

You've been on suicide watch since Tom left, but whatevs... I think BB could take a QB in the first if the guy he wants is sitting there, I think he could also move up to get him. It will all depend on which prospects fall. Belichick has traded up in the first round four times. He did it twice in 2012 when he landed linebacker Dont’a Hightower and defensive end Chandler Jones. |
