If SF Trades Jimmy G, they save 23.6 in Cap Space. Does SF play Hardball and want a 1st for Jimmy G? Lots of teams looking this year for a QB.

I would make that deal for Watson, not for a draft choice for that type of capital it has to be for a QB. they are not moving to #3 for any other position. they must be on board with WIlson, Fields or Lance with out understanding who the Jets might pick. now we see what value JimmyG has, as clearly he is going

They could still hang on to jimmy g if they pick a guy like lance but seriously they have up a ton of draft capital.

I think the 2nd could get it done JG would have to renegotiate with SF first, as the Pats could not trade for his contract given their current cap situation

They don't necessarily have to get rid of him especially if the plan is to draft Lance who'll need some time. If they do decide to move him there's only one team that would have even slight interest and no teams whatsoever that would assume that salary. He's not close to worth it. Just look around, guys like Winston, Mariota, Trubisky and so on with virtually no interest and settling for peanuts. If anyone thinks there's a big market for Jimmy of teams willing to assume that salary, name the team(s). There aren't any. I'd wait them out, they're going to keep him or cut him. I don't see a trade unless Bill has interest and Jimmy agrees to reduce his salary. Drastically. Even then, I would offer a 6th rounder. Take it or [expletive] off.

Philadelphia Eagles
@eagles
Trade: #Eagles have traded picks No. 6 and No. 156 overall to the Dolphins in exchange for No. 12 overall, No. 123 overall, and a 2022 first-round pick.

This changes things, I would think there is a ripple effect here and it involves Jimmy G.

The 49ers just showed their hand at poker. They want a QB. Time for the Patriots to lie in the weeds and wait to see if JG is cut. All leverage is now with the Patriots. Don’t blow it.

Sam Monson @pff_Sam ·
So Miami just acquired a 1st & a 3rd to move down 3 spots and still likely have a real shot at the best WR on the board or Sewell - the options they were likely weighing at #3 anyway.
That's how you play this game, boys.

This stuff sucks for us unless jimmy g gets released. 3 QBs likely will taken in the first 3 rounds. I will be surprised if it’s fields. It’s lance or wilson if the jets pass on him. Falcons like fields. I mean could we actually see four QBs taken in the first four picks? It’s possible.

This is exploding quickly! Have to say, Miami is honestly owning the draft for years to come. If the draft well, they can be a powerhouse. Multiple first rounders - 3 in 2020, still 2 in 2021 (and 2 2nd rounders), 2 in 2022, 2 in 2023.
Going to take time for the dust to settle!

Not sure it will be for months.

Are the 9ers going to give up all that capital for #3 only to package that with more assets for a QB who is being sued by over a dozen woman for sexual assault? A lot to give up and a huge PR hit (I would guess). On the plus side they do get a true franchise QB.

Caserio would be an idiot if he gave up watson for a 3rd pick and getting back an injury prone QB. Lol. OMG Texans fans would be on suicide watch.

It’s allegations at this point.
