I am pretty sure Goodell will find a way to open up an out for the Jets. It will be around the definition of conduct detrimental. If Goodell does this, once again, it will backfire on him. Revis will end up signing a modest, incentive laden one year deal with the Patriots...and will regain his pro bowl caliber form. LOL!!! Just say no to revis.

Who has to imagine. We lost a first round pick for "tampering" with Belichek.

Who has to imagine. We lost a first round pick for "tampering" with Belichek. RESPONSE: That's completely incorrect. The Patriots didn't commit tampering to get BB. There was a squabble over whether BB was free to leave his Jets contract. The Patriots had asked permission to speak to BB to become their head coach and GM. But the Jets turned it down, citing that they had the right to do so, because BB was their head coach. To make a long story short, both sides got together and worked out a trade, in which the Patriots sent the 16th overall pick in the then upcoming 2000 draft and fourth- and seventh-rounders in 2001 to the Jets for the rights to Belichick, a 2001 fifth-rounder, and a 2002 seventh-rounder. Here's an excellent in depth article on the BB trade, well worth your time: grantland.com/the-triangle/bill-belichick-new-england-patriots-trade-new-york-jets/

I feel bad that this DB got a ring with the Pats. On the contrary, I love it! The fact that Revis played so well for the Patriots in 2014 and won a ring induced the idiotic Jets to cheat, beg, borrow, steal, and eventually, to sell the farm to get Revis back. Love it!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

A Pittsburg player hits a Jet player in the Head.No hearing Everything good.A Jet player hits another teams player in the head.Bang. 2 game suspention (which he deserves) LOL.

More laughs from the the farce of an organization known as the NY Jets. The article cited below pretty much describes in a nutshell all that is wrong with this the Goofball Gotham Goblins. Here are some of the "highlights" of the article, with my comments contained in bold black: 1.) QB JAY CUTLER: The addition of Bears QB Jay Cutler would be a disaster .
RESPONSE: Agreed
2.) QB ALEX SMITH: If Tony Romo signs on with K.C., Alex Smith could become a feasible QB option for the Jets .
RESPONSE: He'd be better than anything they have there now. Still, the 33 year old Smith would only serve as a stop gap QB...who would likely be good enough to propel the Jets to a (7-9) - (9-7) record. But does that really help the Jets? How will they ever find that elusive franchise QB if they remain mediocre, and are consistently stuck with the 13th-18th overall pick in the next few drafts?
3.) DT SHELDON RICHARDSON: The author believes that the Jets made a colossal mistake in going all in to sign Muhammad Wilkerson, instead of Richardson. He adds that a suggested trade to the Bears of Richardson to Chicago for Jay Cutler and a 4th round pick is ridiculous...and that the Jets should not trade Richardson for anything less than a second round draft choice. Finally, the Jets will regret choosing Wilkerson over Richardson. RESPONSE: Excuse me?? Are we talking about the same Richardson who was caught driving recklessly (over 100 mph), while having a minor child as a passenger, and a handgun? Are we talking about the same guy who missed team meetings and loafed his way through games, while whining about his contract? Who in their right mind is going to fork over a second rounder for this under-achieving knucklehead? The Jets would do well if they could find a team to agree to part with a 4th round pick for this head case.
4.) QB CHRISTIAN HACKENBERG: Hack may not pan out. RESPONSE: Gee...you really think so??
5.) RB Bilal Powell: A true professional, and a class guy. Though he may never be a franchise RB, he's one heck of a role player. RESPONSE: Agreed. After watching him play against the Patriots last season, you can see why the Patriots were interested in picking him up through free agency. Too bad that he foolishly chose to take extra money to play for the clownish Jets.
6.) CB DARRELLE REVIS: The Jets should move on from Revis, even if he offers to take a pay cut, after experiencing his uninspired play in 2016, and his Fight Night in Pittsburgh. Revis isn't worth the hassle. RESPONSE: Agreed. But, if the Jets release him, don't be surprised if BB swoops in and offers Revis a one year, incentive laiden contract. And, should Revis return to Foxboro, don't be surprised if a motivated Revis at least partially regains his past, pro-bowl form...which will surely bring more ridicule and embarrassment to the Butt-fumblers. LOL!!!
7.) REBUILD, OR RETOOL?: The Jets should not try to retool and challenge for 2016. Instead, they should be in full rebuilding mode. RESPONSE: Agreed. One of the main reasons why the Jets have been spinning their wheels over the past 15 years is their determination to retool every year, in a quest to do whatever is necessary to compete with the Patriots. Instead of being obsessed with Brady and the boys, the Jets should instead be obsessed with following the Patriot Way, and building a rock solid football team, from top to bottom. This requires financial discipline, and finding that ever elusive franchise QB. Not bringing in stop-gap retreads who are good enough to "lead" the Jets to 7-9, or 9-7 seasons, and allowing them to play the Patriots tough once per year.
8.) DRAFT A QB WITH THE 6TH OVERALL PICK?: Yes...if they believe that one of the college QBs is THE GUY. RESPONSE: Hell no! None of the available QBs in the 2017 draft class is worth using their 6th overall pick on. Their best bet would be to grab the best available defender as a pass-rusher, CB, or on the D-line. RB Leonard Fournette?? Hell no! That's retooling thinking, not rebuilding thinking! The Jets don't have the OL that Dallas has to justify taking Fournette at #6. The 2017 draft class sports a deep, talented group of RBs. Plus, the Jets already have a good RB in Powell. No need to replace him. Get him some help, and add some quality depth at the RB position through the later rounds of the draft.

The laughs just keep on coming with this sorry franchise. It seems that 51 year old former Jet defensive lineman Scott Mersereau punched a 15 year old boy in the back of the head after an argument over whether the boy had egged his house. The intoxicated Mersereau was arrested for injury to a child. Ahh, the Jets! The gift that keeps on giving!! profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/02/23/former-jet-charged-with-punching-teenager/ LOL!!!

Tex Since Woody is now managing the UK for Trump, perhaps there's a role for you in NJ? I'd love to see the changes you'd make.

Tex Since Woody is now managing the UK for Trump, perhaps there's a role for you in NJ? I'd love to see the changes you'd make. Congrats to Woody! President Trump sending him across the pond to England and away from the "balmy" Meadowlands may add 10 years to Woody's life! Okay...what would I do if Woody paid me $5 million per year to straighten out the Jets? I thought I covered some of the things that I would do in a bit of detail in my lengthy Jets post above. If the Jets want further details...PAY ME!

Today, the New York football Jets released perhaps their most respected player, in OC Nick Mangold. Have they taken my advice, and gone into full rebuild mode?
LOL!!

Is Darrelle Revis the next Jet veteran to go? And, if so, will he return to form elsewhere (Patriots) to embarrass the clownish Goblin franchise again?
LOL!!
