Enjoyed this interview with Edelman.
0:12:03 took 2-3 years how to run routes. Being a QB helped with pre- and post-snap reads on defensive coverage in hand.
0:14:07 In college, common for WR to take play off if they know their # isn't being called.
0:15:27 setting up for blocking as WR
0:16:36 Edelman a "slap-dick" when off-season training w/ Brady early in Edelman's career.
0:19:22 Intensity of Brady. Practicing with a purpose.
0:21:36 How long did it take to develop chemistry w/ Brady; several years (3-4).
0:25:09 Uses same lawyer/agent
0:25:52 Brady hurt feelings of young WRs, Edelman - was the good cop; humanizing Brady
0:26:32 Locker room leaders bolstered team work, accountability amongst team.
0:28:15 How Edelman felt about Brady when he left for TB
0:30:00 Edelman on Dola, Ying and Yang, batman/robin, contract negotiations after breaking foot.
0:32:39 Taking things out on Caserio vs. BB
0:34:18 About working w/ BB, treatment of players. BB = GOAT
0:43:43 LOVES Boston
0:53:30 Special Teams Play, Brandon Bolden
0:57:18 Bill Belichick impersonation
0:58:30 SB51 The Catch, has ADD(?) not sure if joke or legit

Edelman is good at the POD what kind of following do you think he has outside the NE area?
I enjoy the Kelce POD as well, but only in limited doses

His pod is great, I’m a fan. Jules is a funny guy, and a great story teller! Laughed my ass off when he said that Randy Moss referred to him as "Edel-nut", and had Jules prepare his whirlpool bath for him when Jules was a rookie...and when Jules overheard Randy on the phone speaking with his Mom around Christmas time...and Edelman said to Randy, "say hi to your Mom for me, and tell her I wish her a Merry Christmas" - only to have Moss scream at him, Edel-nut, don't ever interrupt me when I'm speaking to my Mom!!" LOL!!!!!!! Good to see former Pats stars transitioning well once away from football.

I heard that he has a good following, and is doing well. I've watched the Kelce boys too. They're also reportedly doing well.

I must say, Edelman is a guy I did NOT think would do well in the media post retirement because I thought his personality was off, kind of missing the mark, type thing. Boy was I WRONG. This guy is fantastic! Something really clicked a year or two after retirement with this guy, he has an uncanny timing and style that I think is really good. I enjoy listening to him, and I did not enjoy listening to him when he played here. Now Danny Amendola I think is a different story, he’s a very strange dude in my opinion - he was on a reality TV show recently, some sort of special forces type of thing for celebrities - and he is wired very hard. He’s a bit off, and I’m surprised he took to coaching from Bill Belichick.

Was taking him that long a surprise given he played QB for Kent St? His grand total number of receptions in 3 years playing college ball was a whopping 1.

I think learning option routes could take a while, some probably never can think fast enough to get it. Some of what he meant was probably trying to see the game through Bradys eyes and run the routes the way he wanted them

Do you think it takes most rookie WR to 2-3 years to learn how to become an excellent route runner - even if they had more touches as WR in college? If anything, he had an edge because he knew all the routes and could read defenses as a QB. I'm not sure if college WR ever get that kind of experience or perspective.
