This is complete and utter speculation. Says the guy who posts this... "I would take this one with a huge grain of salt. This is reported by the same person who supposedly gives blowjobs for inside information." You are an embarrassment... a complete tool! I thought that was proven untrue? the blowjob part that is.

You are an embarrassment... a complete tool! If you had any sort of education whatsoever, you would understand that by using the word “supposedly” that I’m acknowledging that this is speculation. But it’s not something that I’m making up. This was actually a story a few years back. But you would take her reporting with a huge grain of salt because of that speculation? Never mind that she is a very respected journalist...SMH. Just another idiot statement from you.

Does anyone here know Jonathan Kraft personally? I ask this because a lot of people seem to think he is a total moron. He has been either Vice President, Vice Chairman, or Vice President of the team since RK bought the team. He seems to be a fairly smart businessman too. How many meetings do you think he has been in with BB over those years? How many conversations has he had with BB and others over those years? I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed but I'm not dull either. I have to believe that if I was an executive of the Patriots for 30 years and around BB for most of that time, in meetings with BB for most of that time, having discussions with BB for most of that time…well I have to believe I'd know more about the personnel side of football than anyone here and by a good amount. Unless of course I was a total moron. I mean, if flies could live for 30 years and there was a fly on the wall in those offices for 30 years he'd be smarter than all of us too.
I don't want JK to be Jerry Jones 2.0. I don't want him making football decisions and telling the team who they should draft. I have no problem at all with him having "a voice" in major strategic decisions. Nor do I have a problem if Wolf needs his blessing before a decision to trade away the #3 pick is made. This is an important moment for the Post BB/TB franchise. You better believe that if I was an owner I'd put some checks on the GM, especially an interim GM. I'm pretty sure all of you would to.

JK has helped build a perennial, championship barren, and irrelevant franchise known as the New England Revolution.
Sure, get him more involved in the Patriot team-building process. What could go wrong?

Just out of curiosity, where is it being reported that JK is going to have final say or even a large amount of say in the draft? Heavily involved could mean he's in on the discussions and meetings. I think it is very normal for an owner to be heavily involved in what is going on with his business. You don't think the Commanders owner is very involved with their team sitting at 2nd pick of the draft?

I could make an argument that the decision to trade down or not is as much a business decision as it is a personnel decision. Just to clarify, I don't want JK involved with football decisions. For example, we should pick player X instead of player Y. I have zero problem if he is involved with purely personnel decisions. Those are more business decisions, not football decisions. In this particular draft, the decision to trade down or not is a major strategic decision for the franchise. There are pros and cons of trading down. Wolf and company might be conflicted themselves. I don't have an issue with JK being involved. I absolutely would not say that if BB was still here. I wouldn't say that if Andy Reid or some other experienced (and successful) coach/GM were in place. But we have a brand new GM and a HC we know little about. The staff is full of guys who haven't exactly been coveted by the NFL. I'm going to assume JK is a high IQ guy who is pretty darned successful. It would be a dereliction of duty if he wasn't keeping a close eye over these guys.

I was simply saying that…as that’s one thing heavily involved could mean. My point..I want him nowhere near any kind of player acquisition decisions.

I think most owners are involved in some way or another, but the best ones stay out of most decisions when a call has to be made. Problem is most rich billionaires don't think like this, they have their toy and want to play with it. My worry is that the Krafts look at how Gillette was half-empty for half their games this season and want to force us to draft a QB because they want to sell tickets and jerseys more than they actually want to build a great team. I'm Team Daniels or Maye, but if the front office doesn't want one or both of them for whatever reason, getting in the way of that (IF thats what's happening here) is just asking for trouble.

I I was in Jonathan Kraft’s position you’re good damn right I’d be heavily involved! Now, would I be trying to make football decisions? No. Would I be making sure everyone is doing their god damn job and I am keeping up and up on it? Yes. Would I want constant updates? Yes. Would I want to be in there trying to steer towards a player? No.
This is all nothing, just for clicks and to add conversation for those who obsess believing completely one way or the other.

A very important decision and apparently some want a rookie HC and a rookie GM to operate with full autonomy. Nuts.
