We better not “blow” this pick. I really want to add to this most eloquent post but I'm already 'legging' out a grounder. How disrespectful to accuse her of taking shortcuts when she does all the legwork to get that information.

I I was in Jonathan Kraft’s position you’re good damn right I’d be heavily involved! Now, would I be trying to make football decisions? No. Would I be making sure everyone is doing their god damn job and I am keeping up and up on it? Yes. Would I want constant updates? Yes. Would I want to be in there trying to steer towards a player? No. This is all nothing, just for clicks and to add conversation for those who obsess believing completely one way or the other. Amen. A very important decision and apparently some want a rookie HC and a rookie GM to operate with full autonomy. Nuts. no one is saying that. kraft should be doing exactly what freediro said. he just shouldnt have any say in who to choose in the draft or free agency, etc. let the football people make those decisions. the last thing this new crew should have is full autonomy... the question is... does anyone involved in football ops or in ownership have a clue of how to get things back on track here? we will have to wait and see.

however many people that are actually in the front office/personnel department...and any coach on the coaching staff... id rather every last one of them have anything close to final or a large amount of say on any personnel decision over jonathan kraft. and without a doubt, theres at least a few people in here, that id absolutely also rather have with say in football personnel decisions, over him. Just out of curiosity, where is it being reported that JK is going to have final say or even a large amount of say in the draft? Heavily involved could mean he's in on the discussions and meetings. I think it is very normal for an owner to be heavily involved in what is going on with his business. You don't think the Commanders owner is very involved with their team sitting at 2nd pick of the draft? Heavily involved is vague in its meaning and perhaps shouldn't have been used. Click bait statement. It's vague. I imagine he's there if they get a trade package for that third pick. It's their franchise after all and this has to do with its future.

I have mixed emotions on this. What does heavily involved mean? Does it mean he hasn't given Wolf the authority to make that decision on his own? I'm ok with that. Wolf hasn't even been proclaimed the permanent GM yet. If however, Wolf and the staff are saying "we really want to pick this QB" and Kraft is arguing with them about that...I'm not ok with it. Or if they are saying they don't think any of the QBs are worth a #3, or that the difference between who they can get at #3 and who they can get at #13 is small, and Kraft is telling them they need to make a pick at #3…I'm not ok with that. But if he is merely putting a check on Wolf and doesn't want him to have sole authority then that is not a problem. Wolf is the interim GM. This is a big moment for the franchise going forward. Who knows if there is even agreement amongst the football staff. Half could want one thing and half another thing. I'm wary of anything the media reports on this. "Are you in need of some attention? Just tweet something that is sure to get the Boston radio guys going. You'll get clicks galore and numerous interview requests." Felger is probably on the phone with her right now. I would say about 75% of "news" nowadays...is more about click bait and have "news" more in line with what is commonly viewed on The National Inquirer. Let's face it, people love "drama" and speculation.

I wish he was more involved when dad decided on a vacation when he was probably half in the bag to turn the team over to a hype man.

You hire professionals to do the job, let them do the job.

I assume you mean Mayo? or Wolf? honestly, Mayo has been around a long while now. 15 years-ish? he may or may not be a very good HC. but other than you, I have yet to hear a single negative comment on him from anyone remotely around the team. why are you on that limb?

Ending racism and Thundercat and assorted other nonsense. He sounds like a clown. Trying too hard to be clever. And he’s failing. This is on top of the fact that he got hired by conning an old man, and backstabbing his former coach, the guy who hired him.
