I know there are a lot of die hard draft people here (I'm somewhere in the middle). I liked the old format better.
My question - is anyone skipping day 1 due to the absolutely crazy theft of the pats 1st rounder? I can't see myself getting too excited this year until day 2 which is kind of a bummer.
Just curious if I'm in the minority.

I'll be golfing that evening. Not watching the 1st Rnd. Probably won't watch any of it, really. It's easy enough to track NE's picks without wasting most of a weekend watching it.

Not only am I skipping round 1, I haven't allowed myself to get as caught up in the pre-draft hype/conversations like I usually do. Just not feeling it this year. Thanks Rog.

Roger ruined the first day for me. I won't watch day 1 but I'll keep up on twitter to see who's falling.

I'll be watching Day 1... I like the draft too much and am not gonna let that kunt Goodell take it away from me!
I also miss/preferred the old Sat/Sun format.

I liked the all day events of the old format. I'll be watching. I love watching all the so called experts predicting things as "certain" or "guaranteed" about players and then time proving them wrong on most of those predictions.

I have always enjoyed watching the draft so I will be watching day 1. I won't let Goodell ruin anything for me. I liked the 2 day, all day drafts the best.
I bring this up every year because it's fun to get peoples opinions.... If your cable company offered a pay per view of the Patriots war room during the draft, what is the highest amount you would be willing to pay?

However, You might get a better response if you put the question as how much would you bid if you could be in the Pats draft War room via say a Jimmy Fund auction(or other charitable fundraiser) for the seat. That is something I think a team would or could consider doing with the signing of an accompanying NDA. How much would you bid to be the only outsider allowed a seat in the Pats draft war room?

I won't watch one second of any of it on ESPN (or even check in with ESPN.com) and will watch NFL Network day 2 on. I just don't see the point of day 1 for a Pats fan. It would take a major trade like Jimmy G and the best pick they'd get is the 27th or a 2017 #1. BB won't squander resources like that. They made the move with Jones to get another second rounder, any further action is on day 2. Totally with mbeaulieu on the two day format. I was pleased with Brown last year, but that was made some time after 11pm.

Oh, I know they would never allow the camera in the war room for the full draft but I'm just asking if they did then what would you be willing to pay? $100? I think I would pay that to watch the Pats war room for all 4 days.

Kinda suxs to be a Patriot fan next Thursday night , While every other teams fans are acting like kids in a candy store . Pats fans are left pondering what if .... The ginger goon Goodell can man hug and smile for the cameras all night long as I like most Pats fans won't be watching his pathetic act

I have zero interest in day one. Nothing excites me about it at all. Feels like salt in a cut.

This would be great by BB. If he traded to the first round it would be such an FU to Jolly Roger. Hopefully the opportunity comes up.

I save $100/month by not paying for ESPN or NFL. That said was thinking of watching second day at friend's house. But it's on late on East Coast. Will be watching this board extensively, where the best comments are. Like the extra day and speedier format.

Not only do the Pats not get a first round, a good player is going to miss the chance of being the Patriots first round pick. Could end up on the Browns.

What would I pay to be the only outsider in the Pats war room during the entire draft? That might depend how much I could leverage it into something else...if were just purely as a fan with no leverage possibilities I still might pay 10K.

I am a Neilson house, I guess. Just got a postcard saying the ballot is coming next week. These guys stuff the envelope with $2 cash, lol. I've been getting them for some years now. If there is any way to hurt the NFL's ratings with that, I will do my small part.

MB You should be hosting a draft party with running commentary on each selection for forum members!!! It could part of the benefits package for joining us! LOL.
