To keep the number of threads down to a minimum, I will be renaming this thread each week (i.e. week1, week 2 etc). You'll just have to scroll to the last page to see the latest and to give me your picks. Here is the spreadsheet:

Awesome! Thanks for doing this contest again this year. If it's easier for you to have a new thread for each week, it's fine with me.

OK, thanks. If it gets too cumbersome, I may break it out. We'll see how it goes and if people like it one way more than the other.

I am confused. Looking at the first one, teams, how do I pick the Patriots? For the the second one, points scored, how would I pick Carolina?

Click into the cells next to your name. They each have a dropdown menu where you can select the teams you want. Let me know if you have issues with the spreadsheets.

Week 1 picks to me by kickoff Thursday please. You can fill out the spreadsheet like slgdev did, or you can put them in the text of the post. Either way, please try to keep them in the order on the spreadsheet. I will add point spread and over/under numbers tomorrow. Thanks and good luck to everyone. Should be a good season.

i don't want to create another thread just to ask one question, so i'm going to ask here:
I used to play a game with friends (different sport) where every week we would pick a winner for each game + the final score. We would get 0 points for getting the right score and winner in each game, picking the winner but without guessing the right score would give you points equal to the score difference between your prediction and the real score (say team A 23 - Team B 19 and your bet is 20 - 17, then you would get 5 points total, 3+2), if you fail to guess the winner, then you get points equal to the difference x 2. Less points wins.
Is there anything in this forum similar to this?

Ok, spreadsheets in first post have been updated with spreads and over/under lines. Easiest way to work them are as follows: 1) Right mouse click the file names and "Save target as" somewhere on your computer easy to get to (I recommend your desktop) 2) Open each spreadsheet. The first tab is the scores. You don't need to do anything there. I will keep them updated with all scores from the previous week. 3) Click next tab. Find your name. If it is not there for that particular game and you want to participate, add your name. 4) Click into the week 1 box next to your name. You will see a down arrow (drop down menu) to the right of the cell. Click it and you will see the list of teams. Select the team you want. File Save. Click on next tab for the game you want to participate in. Repeat. 5) For games with multiple picks, select all entries in the column with your name. File Save. Repeat. When you're done with all the spreadsheets, start a new post in the thread. 6) You can then attach the spreadsheets to your post. USE THE RED "REPLY" BUTTON TO ATTACH. "POST QUICK REPLY" DOES NOT ALLOW ATTACHMENTS. 7) if you don't want to do that, you can look at the images in the first post and just type your selections in the body of the post. Either way works. Hope this helps. I know lots of people don't use spreadsheets and it can get confusing. If you have further questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Less points wins. Is there anything in this forum similar to this? Hi Somar So we have 6 total games on two spreadsheets. The first spreadsheet is the Total Wins, Spread and Over_Under contests. Total wins - you pick the winner of each game (Or select TIE), 1 point for each correct pick. Spread contest - you pick whether you believe the favorite (highlighted in orange) will cover the spread (beat the other team by more than the line) not cover the spread, in which case you would pick the underdog, or PUSH (meaning the score differential will be exactly the spread (most times there is a point 5 (0.5) added so you can't pick PUSH)), and Over/Under Contest - you pick whether or not you believe the total combined scores of both teams will be more than (Over) or less than (Under) or equal to (Push) the O/U line. Next Spreadsheet - Off Pts, Def Points, Points Diff. Offensive Points Contest - You pick one team that you think will score the most points that week. The points they score becomes you score and gets added to every week. High score at end of season wins. You can only pick a team once during the season. Defensive Points Allowed Contest. You pick the team whose defense allows the least points each week. Low score is better. You can only pick a team once during the season. Low score at end of season wins. Points Differential Contest. You pick the team who will beat its opponent by the most points each week. You CAN pick a team more than once for this contest. In fact, you could pick the same team each week. If the team you pick looses, those points are negative and will subtract from you total points. High score at end of season wins.
If you would like to play, just post you picks for the contests you want to participate in. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi Gamer If you've saved the spreadsheets to you desktop or other location on your computer, you can make your selections and then do a file-Save. You can then reply to a post and use the "Add Attachment" feature to load them to the post.
Ok, I actually think I see the problem. At the bottom of the page, you will see "Post Quick Reply". DON'T USE THAT! It won't let you attach anything. Use the red "REPLY" button and it will allow you to attach files. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any issues.

i would like to, but for some reason i cant access the spreadsheets, maybe some regional settings since you guys are in US and i'm in europe? just a guess no real idea but the knock out contest on the other thread looks good, i'm going to try that one as long as i'm allowed to post my picks directly in the thread and don't have to use the links you guys post, cant get none to work
