More ridiculous trade rumors. These sports writers need more to do. The thought of trading Garoppolo has been stupid all along. Patriots are fine. They start slow all the time.

True, they have been to the playoffs all 4x with Brady and Belichick when starting 2-2 with two SB's in '03 and '14 and were also 1-3 in '01 when Bledsoe gave way to Brady before winning it all.

The 1-3 Bears have two useful front 7 guys I wouldn't mind surrendering a 3rd or 4th rd pick for in former Patriot DE/DT Akiem Hicks and former Raven Pernell McPhee.

No thanks.
In case you haven't noticed, Brady has been getting hit and sacked at a record rate so far. He's been sacked 14 times and hit many, many more. What happens if he goes down for good? Who is our backup? We need to keep Jimmy at least through this season, and my bet is we keep him long term.
If we want to deal players start looking where we have an abundance....RB Dion Lewis and then work out from there.

I recall the Bills started the season 5 - 0 a while back and the Pats still won the division. How thick is our "patience"?

Much of our D never would have made an NFL roster playing the way they have. We have the talent. They just need to play to their talent level.

With JB already gone.....why would anyone trade their ONLY backup?? Especially one that has the ability to wins games running this offense? Jimmy is going nowhere. Bank on it.

This team needs to get Flowers more involved in the D. He made 2 tackles last week that was unreal. He actually wrapped up the Runner around the legs and made the tackle. He's faster than I thought.

Far less likely now that Brissett is gone. If it was even on their minds to begin with.

Ask the vets who kneel at the burial of their fallen comrades. And if there are people breaking the law then they are not above the law. We dont have a Constitution to protect power whether that power is in the White House or is a lone person wearing blue or a bonehead shooting kids or concert goers.

Not a vet I know, including myself would kneel for the flag or anthem as a sign of respect. You kneel at the grave of your comrades in arms to pray for their souls.

The idea of trading Garoppolo is dumber than dumb. I was always in the camp that felt they intended to keep Jimmy G., and events have shown this to have been their intention all along. And now, without a back-up QB, people are ginning up this trade talk? Some folks are mental, I guess.

Be pretty surprised if something doesn't happen, maybe not with Garappolo, but maybe picks, Lewis, etc. But it depends on whether they feel they are good enough to win the super bowl, right now I'd say they are a couple players away (I also question team attitude and chemistry).

If the Pats can get a whole new defense and Oline for Jimmy G then I'm all for it.

but kneeling during the national anthem is disrespect to our flag and our country. we don't stand just to honor vets who fought for the country. we stand because we respect our flag, our country and our freedom.
id those loser NFL kneelers think they are oppressed let them go play football in Iran
and go to Canada if you think it's ok to kneel during the national anthem.

This may be revisited at the end of the year assuming Brady is still Brady.
