Heard Eric Reid from the 49ers might be available. He's a good sized coverage SS and is in a contract year so the cost should be low. The only cost would be the prorate of his $5.6mil which is about 4mil left. It's an expensive 1 year rental but would add an extra good sized coverage guy.
With Cooks out in Minn and them needing a RB maybe a Lewis for Sendejo makes sense. Sendejo is an aging vet has a trade friendly contract and wouldn't represent a big lose to Minn

Itd allow devin m to go back to free safety which would help the defense out significantly. Reid is hurt right now though. Don't think its major. I think he is expected back in the next week or 2

I've kind of soured on Lewis a little bit, I don't think he adds much in the passing game and I'm not impressed with him as a runner anymore. And I don't trust his ball security or durability. But I do think we'd obviously lose good depth, and I'm not saying he's terrible or anything, I just don't think he's the same guy he was two years ago. But you could be right, others love him on this site. I think I do not "love" any of the RB's on the roster. sure, White has improved to the point that he needs to be on the roster. but the others? need? I do believe that on the LEwis TD run around the LT, no other back on the team gets to the corner other than Lewis Well I'd think Burkhead could, but Lewis is good at those types of things. The question is, do you keep him for that? So you can isolate him three times a game? Not if there's something worth while in eternity for him (IMO).

I do believe that on the LEwis TD run around the LT, no other back on the team gets to the corner other than Lewis Jesus you have a short memory. Remember the SB win last year? What did White go off for? 14 receptions, 110 yards, 6 rushes, 29 yards, 2 TDs. WTF? The kid produces. How about last game on our last 2 series when Joshy starting using White more in the short passing game?...we tied it up. White isn't a pure runner, but he has got better at rushing every year since he has been here. He is averaging 4.1 yards per carry this year on 18 carries. I consider that good. Meanwhile, Lewis is averaging 3.8 yards per carry on 12 rushes. If Lewis was so much better than White, why isn't he on the field more?......White is a premium pass catching back, and a good enough runner.. and you don't produce at that rate by being a JAG. "White has improved enough to be on the roster?" are you kidding me? Jesus the kid is a stud. rkarp's ignorant hatred of White has been a joke for years now. He'll love someone like Dobson and hate someone like White right from the gate and then play his subtle promote or smear campaign (regardless of whether he is clearly wrong) for all eternity. But what do you expect from a fake fan who actually believes the Pats cheated in framegate? rkarp actually thinks NE had an illegal ball deflation scheme going and that BB is an "asshole" cover-up artist who lied about the whole thing. He's no fan of this team. His job just forces him to be exposed to the Pats and he comes on this forum to hear the sound of his own voice and get hard off thinking he's important or an insider. He is neither.

Gotta wait til the bye week imo. Using my uncanny hindsight, I agree. If a trade happens it will be during the bye week. Not sure one will happen though.

Go get Kendricks from Philly LB.... young can rush passer and has seen his time decrease.

Yeah, looks like I whiffed in this bold prediction. If there was going to be a trade this week it would have happened by now. Go Pats

That works out well. I'm not entirely convinced they will trade for anyone as we think though. I believe good coaching can cure 99% of our woes. Players just need to tighten their shot group and it's up to the coaches to make sure that happens.

BB is keeping Harris around for a reason, their is no favoritism with him. Here's my theory on why, he has a lot of football in that body, maybe trying to split the season with him, or less games on him. 16 game season might be too much for him right now, but he still wants his football knowledge on team. Give him fresh legs, might help him through season. Only thing I can think of, might play against his old team this week, we'll see. He starts now and contributes its almost like a Trade.

That would seem to make some sense but with Hightower hurting early, he could have used Harris in the middle and then rested him with Hightowers return. I want to be optimistic here and hope Harris has a role, but that chance looks slimmer as the season progresses.

The only activity has been on the PS, where they dumped that QB they just picked up and signed another DB.

This just in.....
From PFT:
Adrian Peterson has been a forgotten man in New Orleans. And now he’s not in New Orleans at all anymore.
The Saints have traded Peterson to the Cardinals, according to Dianna Russini of ESPN. The Saints will get a conditional draft pick.
The Cardinals are averaging just 2.6 yards a carry and have been desperate for help at running back since David Johnson got hurt. They hope Peterson can provide that help.
It’s hard to see that happening, however, given that the 32-year-old Peterson has gained just 81 yards on 27 carries through four games this season.
So Peterson will get one last chance to revitalize his career, in the same place where Emmitt Smith got a last chance to revitalize his career. Smith gained 937 yards in his final year in the NFL, as a Cardinal. It’s hard to see Peterson getting that many yards in Arizona.

Nothing. The GM shot his wad before the draft. Gotta go with what he's got now.

I don't know, I think if he could play he'd be playing. I remember when they signed Cox, he was old at the time but they used him a lot because he could still play...they're not letting Harris even sniff the field, plus he looked slow and old in the preseason. I think he's around for depth right now, and perhaps for experience for when the weather gets colder and the games slow down a little bit, but it wouldn't surprise me if they drop him way before that.

Cox made what I like to refer as “the hit heard throughout New England”, which ignited the 2001 defense to have the swagger it needed to be awesome. m.youtube.com/watch?v=lJcnUKTRgsQ2:45 in you’ll see it. This team needs that grit right now in a bad way.

He'd get 15 yards for that play today.
