The pundits have also included Alex Smith as playing great right up there with Rodgers. I've seen articles in which both are viewed as playing the best at the QB position this season to date. I guess they aren't watching Brady. What is most likely overshadowing Brady is the focus on the Patriots' defense and the fact the Pats are 3 - 2 versus 5 - 0 for KC and 4 - 1 for GB. Regardless, as the article points out it is what you do to end the season and not what you do in October.

Not going to lie. I'm a huge Rodgers fan.
I get the feeling that if you're a football fan you have to like watch him throw the ball even if you don't like him.
That said, Brady is the best QB hands down.
The way I see it it goes like this:
If you're talking in terms of pure skill, then Rodgers is the best player.
But once you factor in work ethics and football IQ then Brady takes the lead and it's not even close IMO.
I love the fact that Brady just keeps improving. He doesn't have the best arm, he's probably the worst (or close) when it comes to running, but more than makes up for those with the sheer will of working is ass off to get better at what he does.

I don't have a problem with Rogers. But through his career he'll never match TB. Super Bowls wins are the measuring stick. and he'll never win 6

I mean I can see why some would favor Rodgers, when he's on there's no stopping him. Problem is he's not always on, Brady is. Consistency is something Brady has at a level no one else has ever reached. Look what happened to Rodgers last year, he had an early season stretch where things weren't going well for him and it cost his team in the standings, instead of playing at home in the playoffs, they went on the road and lost. Seems like that's the case every year for them...consistency and winning ALL season are huge things, Brady does that, Rodgers doesn't.

When people talk Rodgers versus Brady, they seem to focus on the physical skills of these two QBs and use that to give Rodgers the edge over Brady now. Boy, they mustn't realize Rodgers will be only 34 years old on December 2nd and Brady is 40 now! Look how much they have to stretch in order to put Rodgers over a 40 year old QB!!! Of course Rodgers is better physically when he is 6 years younger. We hear so much about how Rodgers is the most physically gifted QB of all time. No one has ever said Brady has all sorts of physical skills as we can say about Peyton Manning. It is an entire package deal with a QB and the package Brady brings to the table is why he is considered the GoaT now. Let's see how Rodgers performs when he is 40 before they put him on the same pedestal as Brady and winning 4 more rings, and it may be 5, in 6 years will be a huge stretch!

If I wasn't a Patriots fan, I'd probably be a Packers fan. You make some good points, and I'd add that while Brady isn't the most mobile, his ability to climb and/or maneuver in the pocket is terrific.

I don't have a problem with Rogers. But through his career he'll never match TB. Super Bowls wins are the measuring stick. and he'll never win 6 I think Brady is The GOAT. But I also think this SB stuff is overdone. Yes I agree playing big in big games is a critical point. But it is a team sport. TEAM. And in this game the coaching staff plays a HUGE role. So it is really a team effort. If you say that it matters deeply how they play in big games then I agree. If it is simple count of SB wins than count me out. I dont even think it should be a factor of whether they even make it to the SB. BUT - and this is the key - it SHOULD be HOW WELL THEY PLAY. Period. So horse faces plays badly in big games. Well that paints him in his true colors. But if a guy was just on bad teams he himself is still possibly a great QB. Quality of play is what we are talking about. Not stats and not wins and not SB wins. Yes stats can illustrate great play so I am not saying ignore. Playoff wins and SB wins can illustrate great play so I am not saying ignore it. But people put fantasy football stuff before actual play. Dick Butkus was THE best LB till maybe LT. He never even played in a playoff game let alone a championship game. But he was GOAT till LT. On the QB side, Jurgensen was incredible but overlooked by far too many because he only played on bad teams. Archie Manning was world class but only played on bad teams so he is discarded. That is BS. And there are other examples. Brady is the GOAT. But it is because of his play. He brought the team back from behind with drives late in both SB loses. Those were pluses on his ledger. This last SB was an amazing plus. Not "because we won" but because of his PLAY, how great it was, how clutch it was. And we are seeing a great QB again this year.

Brady has had a great coach and great players surrounding him. Rogers or Brady.....both great. Hard to differentiate them on an individual basis.

TB-haters are panicking. Time to move on to the next guy who might challenge TB's legacy.
