By my way of thinking, that's what is lacking, on both sides of the ball. Develop that with this crew and the Pats will be fine.

Like how the defense played for three quarters against Tampa last week and almost lost the game in the 4th. Today, it was a sloppy first half then they play well the rest of the game. As for the offense... the lineup changes every week. Regardless, come December that consistency better be there.

With the exception of Butler, I'd say scrappiness is lacking too. Wise is starting to show some on the pass rush. I am hoping BB makes an example of Butler's play. It does not matter if the call was right. The effort gave them a chance. If that rubs off on others like Gilmore, I think they can get the consistency you are looking for.

Might be more concerned if there was some super unbeatable team out there. Just not seeing it. As good as KC has been, and as badly as they played against them, they had a fourth quarter lead.
Every game is an adventure, I'll say that.

4-2 is the record.
If the Broncos lose, the Pats will be tied for the 2nd best record in the AFC.
That puts the Pats in the hunt for a playoff bye.
What if we just appreciate how good we have it.

Welcome to the NFL in 2017. Pats at 4-2 are right in the thick of it again. Since 2000 this team has been very consistent at winning more than losing.

Gmen haven't won yet and Pat's haven't hit the meat of their schedule yet either. Unfortunately winning more than losing doesn't look like a guarantee by any means. I think this Pat's team could lose to anyone with a pulse and nearly have.

Injuries today are going to kill a few teams. Just still waiting for the Pats game that's not a stinker. They still can improve or they can go the other way all together.

Somewhere in the swamps of Florida,a group of cantankerous old men are meeting and popping cheap champagne and re-living their glory days being on the 1972 Dolphins because there's no more undefeated teams in the NFL.

That's the point of my thread - they are not playing consistently well. They certainly aren't playing consistently badly either or they wouldn't have the record that they do.

I saw another thread proclaiming that this team is not Championship material. My question, this season is, who is? I can't remember the last time I have seen a season like this. Teams are losing when they should be winning and others are winning when common sense tells you, they should be losing. No one is showing consistency, at this point. This team has at least as much hope as anybody else.

They're consistently bad at this point They aren't consistently good or bad. They truly are inconsistent. Still, their record suggests that they are more good than bad.

Consistency is the only thing standing between this team and a championship caliber team. They've shown they can bring it. They just haven't shown they can bring it consistently. Consistency will be what determines if this team makes an early and embarrassing exit from the playoffs or goes deep. The talent is there. Take note of everyone claiming there is no talent and rub their noses in it later. Oh wait, that won't do any good. It will be Groundhog Day all over again.
