Lets see how close they are when we play them later in the season and hopefully have our CBs back.
Jets always seem to play the Pats hard and often (not always) it's a close game. That doesn't mean the Jets are close when it comes to the record at the end of the season

Jets usually play the Pats to a 1 score game. No surprise yesterday

The Jets should be great. Picking in the top half of the draft basically every year, they should be stacked. Better than the Pats.
All 32 pick from the same talent pool, I would expect most teams to have about equal talent. If you're picking early year after year, you should have a pretty big edge. Is it some revelation that teams like the Jags are finally halfway decent? That's how the system is designed. They're supoosed to be good by now.

At least the Jets have a run of respectability every so often. Is it really some revelation to New Yorkers that having a franchise QB is a big difference maker? No shit, really? Wow, I never would have guessed...

The Jets won 3 in a row. That's hard to do in the NFL. They are improved. They contested many of Brady's throws. I expect they'll come back to Earth but we'll see.

Seems to me, BB didn't have TB for the first four games, last season, but still managed to go 3-1 during that span. He had a full season without him, in 2008, but ended up at 11-5, anyway. There's no doubt, it will be interesting to see what happens, when TB is retired, but I wouldn't be so quick to assume that this team will simply slink off and die.

I heard an interesting thing on the radio over the weekend. A local fantasy guy was responding to the running joke that New Jersey (green) is actually failing in its attempt to tank the season. He pointed out that none of the guys the team (ahem) jettisoned in the off-season is doing anything at all elsewhere in the league (those that are even still in the league). I certainly wouldn't do it, but it's possible to defend management's actions as "smart" football moves.
Does this mean I think the Jests actually have a chance to become a real NFL team at some point?
The sound you do not hear is me chuckling quietly to myself.
