Brissett had a mediocre game, not good not bad. Imo that's basically what he is, an average QB who won't win you games very often but won't lose you games either. He's a very good backup and a lack luster starter in the end I caught the last quarter and a half. Basically with that non-existant offensive line and the lack of separation of the receivers I doubt Brady would have done much better. They were in his face it seemed in little over a second. I couldn't judge Brissett based upon what I saw.

Didn't we spend the first 4 games of the season complaining that the OL was getting Brady killed and was a turn style, along with the WRs not getting separation quick enough and how much we missed Edelman for that reason?

Yes, we did. However, they were not getting to Brady nearly as fast as they were getting to Brissett in that last 22 minutes that I saw.

Against Hou or Car (I forget which one) Brady was hit the most times in his career. He's already at a career high in hits this far into the season. I know Brissett didn't have much time either and it's completely unfair to compare him to Brady when pressure is applied but imo how he reacted under pressure is similar to a large number of QBs in the league who are fringe starters. Now Brissett might develop but at least this year he had one great game and the rest he looked like a journeyman type of QB. Not good, not bad but a decent placeholder if you are waiting for someone to come back from injury or for a guy you just drafted to develop. Ii've made the comparison before but he reminds me of a Hoyer or Cassel. A usable starter but nothing really that special

I just don't see him as a reliable pocket passer yet. Maybe that will change over time. Great kid with a positive attitude and will be around for a long time in a back-up role.

I am glad he is doing well for himself. I agree with others though that he is a serviceable backup at this point and little more. I made a point to qualify my remark with "at this point". You just never know how a player might develop.
I'm not sure we can call it the "Jacoby show". Deshaun Watson has been putting on a show. Last year Dak did. Jacoby is not putting on a show unless you are talking about a middle school play.

I will say one thing though, he has given the Colts much more than Dorsett has given the Pats lol. But, no I'm not complaining about the trade, Brissett would eventually need to be replaced anyways in NE if they keep Brady (Brissett wouldn't have been the successor) and we needed another WR this year so the teams swapped players they might have cut anyways for players in positions both teams needed.

Exactly... if the teams had cut each player there is no way Brissett would have made it to the Colts in the waiver process and no way Dorsett made it to NE.

I sure am and I hate the colts. I hate the trade and wish BB traded a draft pick instead for Dorsett. He's only in his second year with room to improve accuracy. He already has all the intangibles and leadership you want. The colts might get a 1st round pick (or at least a 2nd) if they trade him, which would make up for the pick they wasted on Dorsett. I don't agree with Pezz often, but I totally agree with him on this one. Should've kept him and if you had to trade anyone, trade Jimmy for a bunch of picks no offense to BB the Gm but he flails on multiple occasions IMO. this was one. jimmy would have brought an entire draft changing complexion this past draft---sorely needed infusion of talent. anyone with any sort of football iq could see that jacoby was more than competent and jimmy will not be here in 2019..sorry wazz...I know how much you like him. this was a majot slip up by MR. b Well, that explains BB's poor judgment. I think we can all agree, the man is a certified imbecile when it comes to football IQ.

Douche worthy indeed..LOL. kinda a waste too:)

Was your post directed at Homefield and not cyncalpatsfan?
