Not that it would matter to him. From yahoo.com:
And just like that, the New England Patriots currently are tied for the best record in the AFC.
The early struggles of the team, the defense, in particular, look to be behind them as they held their third consecutive opponent to fewer than 20 points. Despite the adversity surrounding the team early in the season, they came out of it with a winning record. Thanks in large part to the play of the ageless, Tom Brady.
Brady was his normal, dominating self against the Falcons on Sunday in a rematch of last February’s Super Bowl. He completed 21-of-29 passes for 249 yards and two touchdowns in the victory. For the season, he has thrown for 2,208 yards and 15 touchdowns, both leading the league. Brady has also only thrown two interceptions the entire year and sports a passer rating of 108. He is on pace to throw for 5,043 yards, 35 touchdowns and four interceptions on the year. At age 40.
An impressive resume for any quarterback at any age, let alone a 40-year-old as accomplished as Brady. In addition to the stellar stat line, Brady is easily dispelling the ridiculous notion that he is a “dink and dunk” quarterback. He currently leads the lead in completions over 20 yards (31) and completions over 40 yards (7).
All this is being accomplished after losing Julian Edelman for the season and a revolving door of skill position players in the recent weeks. Now with Rob Gronkowski seemingly healthy, Rex Burkhead back in the fold and the rest of the weapons staying on the field (sans Malcolm Mitchell who has yet to take the field), don’t expect Brady and the offense to take their foot off the pedal.
Alex Smith may be Brady’s closest competition for the award, however, both seem to be moving in the opposite direction in recent weeks. Smith may continue to play flawlessly, only time will tell. One thing we know for sure, Brady’s play will only improve throughout the rest of the year. Given the level he is already playing at, that is a very scary prospect for the rest of the NFL.

Lots of talk now about Carson Wentz in the MVP discussion. Carson Wentz and Alex Smith in the discussion, who would have thought. Would love to see Brady win league MVP this season at 40 years old. We could then ask Max Kellerman how that cliff is looking!

If he keeps up the pace and the team continues to do well he will win. He has to be the favorite already in Vegas.

Wentz has it. He's poised in the pocket and by all accounts is a leader.
If I had to rate the young QB's right now this is how I have it.
Wentz Marriotta Carr Watson Dak Winston Goff - I'm still not convinced on this kids ability to make multiple reads. From everything I've read they have simplified the offense for him.

Great, we aren't going to agree on this either. Haha!! I'd have Wentz, Carr, Dak, Watson, tie between Marriotta and Winston, Goff.

Brady is on pace to have over 5,000 yards passing and less than 10 INT's... no QB has done that before. If he does that, he's gotta get the MVP.

That's a pretty blistering pace. I think Brady is the best there ever has been but I'm not certain that even he can sustain that pace.

Of his closest competition is Smith, Brady will win it. Smith usually craps his drawers after October.
It will be a well deserved MVP if he gets it, about time he got another one. Seems like Manning won it every year.

Wentz's days may be numbered. He's supposedly running a lot, and getting hit a lot. Now, with his pro-bowl LT Jason Peters out for the season, times could be much harder for him, playing in the City of Brotherly Love.

I don't know TP when you watch this kid play you can tell he has....IT. He has the ability to go through his progressions and make the correct read. He's as tough as they come and he has that leadership quality you see in guys like Brady and Rogers. when it's all said and done Wentz and Watson might be the 2 QB's we are discussing as the next great ones. Watson seems to have that IT quality also and it will be interesting to see him in his 2nd year.

Waaaay too early for Watson. Everyone was gaga over RG3 at this point in his rookie year. There will be adversity. How does he deal with that. Winston and Mariota are getting close to 40 games, do we really know about either of them yet? I don't. Cousins and Carr have played way more than 40 games. What are they? Have they peaked? Can either of them become elite? Lead their team to championships? Give it time.

He doesnt keep the pace because we will go to the run in games we can - where we dont need to pass and pass... He should end up with strong numbers but I just dont think we go pass happy when we can run.

If the team finishes with the league's best record and HF throughout AFC playoffs, that is a good possibilty. Right now, with Philly where it is and Wentz doing what he does, they are the "flavor of the week" right now. Just like KC and Smith were the "flavor of the week" when they started 5 - 0.

He should end up with strong numbers but I just dont think we go pass happy when we can run. We already had two such games out of 7 where there were only running TDs. He has those numbers despite that. He can still have 3 more, such games, and still be on pace.
