You are all going to get a huge I told you so at the end of the year. Gilmore is going to be a stud the rest of the year. Book it.

Actually the report is they signed him without even talking with him. They did the same with Amendola and it almost feels like the same situation. They had a player who wouldn't sign the contract they wanted them to sign so they signed their target in FA out of the gate without even talking with them to see the fit [ Uh, Amendola is one of the all time great Patriots. I’m not sure where you are going with this one... It's an example of something the Pats have done in the past and Amendola an all time Pat? Are you kidding me? He's been good but he's not even top 10 WR in Pats history let alone all time

Ummm....how about "Stephon, you WILL be playing both man AND zone for us if you want a paycheck". He is an employee, not some privileges asshat who is better than any other member of the team. He may not like it, but he works for the Patriots right now. Yes he does but he also has the Pats over a barrel. He’s guaranteed big money and the Pats can’t do a thing with him except play him or bench him for the next 2-3 years. I get the get onboard mantra, and it takes a big man to be humble and just play what B.B. wants. I haven’t seen neither yet with Gilmore. Is it guaranteed money if he fails to live up to the terms of his contract, which is that he does what he is told to do? My guess is that certain behaviors void the contract. For example, if he insists that he is now a lineman is he still going to get paid? Or if he fails to follow instructions given to him for coverages because he "doesn't feel like playing zone today" is he still going to get paid? I would bet that the Pats could void his contract for insubordination issues.
