I hope he has a full and speedy recovery. The video can be seen at the link. From yahoo: www.yahoo.com/sports/doctors-reportedly-fighting-save-bears-te-zach-millers-leg-injury-133453600.html Zach Miller’s leg injury on Sunday was graphic, and was extremely serious from a medical standpoint. Miller, the Chicago Bears tight end, had to undergo urgent vascular surgery on his dislocated knee according to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen. The surgery was needed to repair artery damage. ESPN’s Adam Schefter said doctors were trying to save Miller’s leg, not just his career. Miller’s injury was one of the worst of its kind in football in many years. He came down with a pass in the end zone and as he was planting his left leg after the catch, his knee buckled. Not that it matters in the big picture, but his touchdown was overturned on replay review when officials saw he didn’t complete the catch. Bears receiver Kendall Wright told the Chicago Sun-Times after the game it was disrespectful of the Saints to show the play on the video boards multiple times, as is usually the case for plays being reviewed. The Fox network showed the replay multiple times as well because there was a question if Miller would be awarded a touchdown or the play would be ruled incomplete. Miller, 33, had an unlikely career revival in 2015 with the Bears after being out of the NFL for three seasons. He has 11 touchdowns in his three Bears years. His career is in jeopardy now, and he has much bigger concerns too.
