Can't get TD's, it's a 3 points at a time offense, horrible stupid penalties every week, dropped passes, lame play calling, Brady is by himself out there, the penalty riddled OL is going to get him killed. 19, 24, 23 and 21 points the last 4 games, in a league where everyone is scoring 30 to 40 points a week we are lagging way behind. Thank God for our ELITE D and ST, the only reason why we won the last 4 games, giving up a stingy 14, 17, 7, 13 points in the last 4, that's less than 13 ppg avg.Stick that in your pipe an smoke it Pezz, Boob and all the other homers and bottom feeders Yes this is my best rebuttal to all the ''our D sucks'' threads LMAO!

You forgot to include a discussion of your unimpeachable objectivity which is absolutely vital to your street creds.

Actually...There were two drops by Gronk and Cooks that should have been TDs. On another drive Brady didn't see Amandola for at least a 1st down at the two.
Simple execution and this game is a blow out.

While he is a meh GM, he is usually a stellar coach, but that D in the early games was not being coached well enough. Yeah, the 8-8 teams the GM builds get a safety once in a blue moon.

Anybody can say almost anything.
One problem with criticizing the Patriots right now is that the team hasn't lost a game since September, and before that, the final game in September was blatantly thrown by a crew of bought refs.
The Patriot game plan is all about getting ahead in the first three quarters, then coasting in toward the win. It looks a bit scary when Phillip Rivers is set up on the 30 yard line with one second left, but Rivers somehow has to throw a long miracle pass into a pile of eight Patriot defenders sitting back there in the end zone with the back line of the end zone acting as an extra defender. Beyond that would have been a two point play, then overtime for a notably worn-out Chargers defense.
Part of the Patriot fourth quarter near-victory strategy is to minimize long offensive passes that can get picked off. As a result the team plays a clock-eating prevent offense, ugly on the offensive stats but proven to be quite effective in the win-loss column. The offense shouldn't be criticized for doing exactly what the coach told them to do.
Friendly Foxboro isn't quite a spear-chucker's offensive dream. The football was rather wet on Sunday, as Mr. Rivers found out when he patted the football and then the football vanished from his grip, almost like the hard-shell taco that split apart in my hand and then landed all over the floor when I saw the play. The extremely heavy fog we saw last week also probably greased the ball pretty well. I don't know how much that wind and rain affected long passes on Sunday, I found a four inch thick branch in our yard this morning.
Is the team the offensive dream that we imagined? No, Edelman's out and Allen's not good at getting open. Overall, BB's strategy of acquiring heavyset skill players, the kind that are slow to injure, and of emphasizing the 53rd man on the roster because starters go down, will continue to produce a relatively great offense in November and in December.
After the bye I expect Nate Solder to be somewhat better healed. If Gillislee has been playing hurt, he gets a bit of help from the bye week. The entire team gets more on the same page, with new wrinkles added. Cannon hopefully gets his ankle better. Hogan's shoulder gets time to heal. Half the team has their quiet bumps and bruises that need time to heal.
