It's great that executives feel that way, but how do the owners feel. Happy to be putting the screws to the Patriots. If there is one person I would like to hang by the balls-it's not Goodall- it's Harbaugh. He's the bastard that got all this started.

The problem is that the NFL owners are the only ones that matter when it comes to Goodell. It takes 75% of the owners (that would be 24 of them) to terminate him. Regrettably, I don't see that happening anytime soon.

This whole deal has me so p*ssed off, I can't really see past it. The Patriots got screwed, Brady got screwed, and the World outside Patriot Nation think they are cheaters. Great if some executives think they should have the picks back, but SFW? It's not gonna happen.

Tom Brady- 4 games for possibly being "generally aware" that a little air may have been let out of a ball. |

Other executives are starting to wake up but it might already be too late. Jonathan Kraft at least has balls and he's pissed. I think the other executives are starting to realize when Bob retires (which might be sooner rather than later) Jonathan might air all the dirty laundry and I hope to dear lord a new "cheating" scandal gets leaked about any and every team and Goodell has no choice but to start to take multiple first rounders away each year. At this point that would be my vengeance. To air out every little dirty secret and let the Kraken they created destroy them in retribution

If this whole Defamegate fiasco has taught us anything, it is that precedent means absolutely nothing to this power structure. Whether or not the pressure incident was fabricated out of whole cloth or not, we know Goodell and his minions will skew reality to whatever degree necessary to acheive whatever immediate goal they deem important. He can ignore actual infractions just as easily as he can invent imaginary ones. And speaking of convenient ethics ... where the hell is mel's Peyton Manning is a Fraud!!! thread? |

He makes a decision on 1 team he'll still have support of the other 31 teams.
He cant lose, the Owners are cut throats, no matter how you see them buddy, buddy with each other.
Only way these Owners will get rid of him is if he caught on Camera molesting a dog.

Thanks for the links. Sally Jenkins has covered this whole affair with grace and intelligence. She called out the NFL numerous times in the past year, and frankly she's eviscerated them. Kudos to Jenkins.
Fwiw, it's now up to either two or three pro athletes named in the Al Jazeera report that have been suspended by their respective sports.
But not Peyton? Chose retirement wisely.
