The day Tom Brady submits to a jealous and spiteful dictator giving up what he loves is the day hell freezes over. If anything, this debacle will make him hungrier and want to play longer. I don't think there's anything that I would want to see more as a sports fan than Shitdell having to hand over the Lombardi to Brady after winning his record 5th SB.
The North Remembers, Shitdell.

I would feel let down if he retired, but that will never happen now
I do think he owes himself the duty to file a defamation suit, even McCann said it. Doesn't matter if he wins, but if he does sue, he should say he is giving the net proceeds to down and out players. This would make it bigger than himself and get the players behind him. Imagine if he could ever get the NFL unde oath?
What would happen if the truth came out that the owners just wanted to get the Pats for Spygate, which Tom had nothing to do with? How do you think a jury would like that? And in Mass no less
The Hulk Hogan trial should show that a celebrity can sue. TB can start out with the loss of salary, but then get punitive dollars. The question would be could the NFL pay for silence? And how long it would take? I would love to see the NFL on its knees begging for mercy!!!
And now we find it was an inside job by Mara and Chin How come this isn't a surprise? Should be unbelievable, but it isn't Mara is a complete twithead

Just a bit of info for anyone holding out hope that some owners want Goodell to back off or offer TB some kind of deal -John Mara and judge Chin went to law school together many years ago and are known to be friends. So whoever suggested that Mara will broker a deal, Mara was one of the owners leading the charge to hammer TB Jraft and the Pats. Given the league's total lack of integrity, there is every reason to believe that they knew the outcome long before it was announced. Remember that there were serious negotiations about a month ago to reduce the Commissioner's role in player discipline. Then all of a sudden that was completely off the table. Don't be surprised if the 4 games gets increased rather than decreased. At best, he sits 4 games. Actually, there's no evidence at all that Mara influenced Chin. Less evidence in fact than there is that McNally may have deflated the balls. If you accept the standard of evidence used by pastfaninpa to conclude some kind of collusion between the Courts and the NFL occurred, you must find the Wells report unimpeachable.

The level of Byzantine intrigue in this league is outdone only by its incompetence. I guess content IS king because despite all the missteps, the game's popularity has now reached mythical proportions. And allows this jackanape Goodell to get away with it all.

If you accept the standard of evidence used by pastfaninpa to conclude some kind of collusion between the Courts and the NFL occurred, you must find the Wells report unimpeachable. Ya, you're right. Chin got that overwhelming evidence of guilt thing from the Wells report and all the research done on the numbers except that the evidence of guilt is implicating the NFL and possibly Chin of wrong doing, not Brady. What were the odds Berman was over ruled again? Most legal experts said it wouldn't happen until the hearing and most legal experts were perplexed with the questioning and specifically Chin, as he had no reason to say what he did. That was not the issue before them. What are the odds that Chin and Mara, just happen to be good buddies? Bizzare and troubling. Wonder if Chief Justice Catzman knows that? Wonder if Kesslers knew that. Lol, Skip Bayless came right out and said the judges were dirty. You don't think others are questioning this, as we speak? In case you haven't noticed, the NFL hasn't exactly played fair from day one. Nah, there's no reason to suspect they aren't here, either. Duh!

Brady is too competitive to just take his ball and go home. That's not very Brady like and somethign we've come to expect from one of the most competitive players to ever play the game.
What he is going to do is help prepare JG & break in some of the new guys like Bennet & Hogan. Then come week 5 (if his sentence hasnt' been reduced), he will come back like a man possessed. This is the Brady we have all come to love over the past 15 years. He has this way of using negative situations to stoke his competitive fire. He'll use that this year as well. He will be angry, focused and determined. Every rushing lineman, every CB, every LB will have Goodell's face on him.
Then maybe someday when he retires, he comes out and takes Goody's job from him. Tom Brady, new NFL Commish. That would be poetic justice.

Tom Brady is playing six more years AT LEAST. When he retires he will own every single QB record that there is and have 6 Super Bowl wins.

Wonder what's going on awfully quiet in his camp. Maybe they will announce their decision 5 minutes before Goodall makes the first round pick announcement. LMCLAO!!

I can believe that Snyder, JJ, and many others may have had it with Kraft and his pimping for Goodell on past issues, but I do not believe there to be issues between Kraft and Mara..
