Sorry. Disagree. If people didn’t want to risk the commute to the game, they could have stayed home. Let those who decide to go, go. They can keep the roads open. This is a weak decision. Workers don’t get to decide. Good call by the nfl. You’re right. Workers don’t get to decide. Which is unfortunate. Bad, weak call by the nfl

Agree it would be a great game. But I also don't think the state wants the cost or political backlash if it turns into a disaster. Anyway, my basic point is this isn't the NFL getting soft—it's the state of New York pushing the NFL not to go forward with an event that might cause an expensive mess for the state. NFL in the 90’s probably would have said “screw it” and played the game in the snow. The league is getting ridiculously soft. There are many examples of this. It is a different world—lawsuits, in particular, increase the financial consequences of being a cowboy.

And I do agree it would be a blast. But I imagine you don't harvest your wheat during a tornado either Those combines ain't cheap.

No, they aren’t cheap. But I’ve never seen a destructive tornado in our area. I don’t live in the Midwest.

But I’ve never seen a destructive tornado in our area. I don’t live in the Midwest. Yeah, I guess not in Washington. (I assume you're in the Eastern part of the state, which I really like—though I'm a bit more familiar with eastern Oregon). I doubt you have snowstorms like they do in Buffalo either—except maybe up in the Cascades.

True. We don’t get that kind of snow. Northeast of me (Spokane/Coeur d Alene area and north of there can get dumped. And yeah, the North Cascades for sure. We don’t usually get that much where I live. Eastern Oregon is great. Massive, vast, and largely unpopulated. My kind of country. I have some Buisness in northeastern Oregon. I enjoy going down there. What part of the state are you familiar with?

But when we went to visit her, I always wanted to head out to Bend and eastward. My other sister-in-law lives in Seattle, so I've seen a bit of Washington too, but my wife gets along better with her sister in Oregon, so we've spent more time there.

Some of you guys have zero awareness of safety or logistics. 60mph winds, blizzard and white out conditions, potentially icy roads and power outages. Sure maybe you can play in that and it would make for fun TV, but how do you clear the roads, the stadium and the parking lots in those conditions and insure 80,000 people can arrive safely and leave and get home safely?

Cancelled a playoff game due to snow. Ummm…what?! Are you kidding me? That’s absolutely absurd. Since when can football players not play in the snow? Remember the 2001 AFC Divisional game? Man it pisses me off how weak and soft the league is today. Shameful. This weekend in Buffalo is the 17th time a game has been cancelled in postponed in modern day NFL. 1989 - 49ers vs Patriots: The game had to be moved to Stanford University due to damage at Candlestick Park from the Loma Prieta earthquake 1992 - Patriots vs Dolphins: The opening day game was rescheduled to Oct. 18 due to Hurricane Andrew. 2003 - Chargers vs Dolphins: The Monday Night Football game had to be played in Tempe, Arizona due to the conditions in San Diego from the Cedar Fire. 2004 - Bengals vs Buccaneers: The preseason game was postponed two days until August 16 due to Hurricane Charley. 2004 - Titans vs Dolphins: The opening day game had to be rescheduled due to Hurricane Ivan 2004 - Steelers vs Dolphins: The September 25 was moved from 1 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. due to Hurricane Jeanne. 2005 - Chiefs vs Dolphins: The Oct. 23 game was moved up two days due to Hurricane Wilma. 2008- Texans vs Ravens: The game was postponed due to Hurricane Ike. As a result of the change, the Texans game against the Bengals had to be moved forward from Nov. 9 to Oct. 26. 2010 - Vikings vs Giants: Due to a snow storm in Minnesota and damage to the Metrodome, the game was played in Detroit. Due to the same situation, the Vikings had to move their game against the Bears to the University of Minnesota campus. 2010 - Vikings vs Eagles: The Sunday Night Football game was postponed to Tuesday because of a snowstorm in Philadelphia. 2014 - Jets vs Bills: The Nov. 23 game had to be be moved to Detroit and was played on Nov. 24 also due to a snowstorm in Buffalo. 2017: Cowboys vs Texans: The Governor’s Cup preseason game was canceled due to Hurricane Harvey. 2017: Dolphins vs Buccaneers: The Nov. 10 game had to be rescheduled to a week later because of Hurricane Irma. 2021: Cardinals vs Saints: The preseason game was canceled due to Hurricane Ida. 2021: Saints vs Packers: The season opener was moved to Jacksonville Florida due to damage caused from Hurricane Ida. 2022: Browns vs Buffalo: The Nov. 20 game was moved to Ford Field in Detroit due to a severe winter storm in Buffalo. Things ain't the way they used to be, probably never was.

What's funny is I live about an hour and a half drive from that stadium but here on the north side of the lake we have no snow at all. All lake effect with the winds blowing north to south.

Yeah, I’ve only been through that Malhuer wildlife refuge a few times. Very cool area. I hate Eugene. And Portland. And Seattle…basically the entire I-5 corridor. The liberal lawmakers on that side of the mountains have allowed those areas to become complete shitholes. Major homeless problems. Major drug problems (hence the homelessness). Taking power away from law enforcement leading to anarchy and major crime. It’s a liberal infested shit hole on the west side. There are some nice areas way north of Seattle and on the peninsula, but it’s not worth it for me to have to travel through the shit holes known as Seattle/Tacoma/Everett/etc to get there. Oregon is the same way. I love the Oregon coastline, but it sucks havingntl travel through the liberal, lawless cities to get there.

Well, you know, of course, I'm an AOC-loving, Trudeau-voting progressive, so I think Eugene (in particular) is pretty cool. But I have this weird red-state hunting habit and also like birdwatching, so I tend to gravitate more to rural areas when I want to enjoy myself.

Well, there is A LOT of country in Eastern Oregon and Eastern Washington to hunt. Idaho is awesome as well. If you want big deer, we have some in WA, but if you want better odds go to Montana or Wyoming. The hunting is great out here. I love it. I don’t really understand what you mean by AOC, etc, etc, etc, but I’m guessing it means many of your views don’t align with mine. Which is totally fine. You do you, just don’t tell me what to do and I’ll show you the same level of respect.

I'm more a bird hunter than a big game hunter (I like working with dogs) but keep thinking I should start doing some deer hunting. Maybe when I retire in a year.

I put a splash of water in it to tone down the burn.
