I’ve wanted the guy for months. I’d be estatic if we took alt at 3 then landed penix.

If this was BB running things, you know this lack of contact would be a dead giveaway that he was their guy! As for the player himself ... He has big hands, and a longish arm at 33.625" and a cannon and had the stats for his 2 years in WA and has hadd 2 years of health - probably learned to get down/take a hit. And he does appear to have decent pocket awareness and escapability to go with his straight line speed. Zenape: 'and you might not have the second (or arguably first) best WR to throw to who dominates on 50/50 balls?' So are you discounting Jayden Daniels stats because he had two top 15 WRs in Nabers(#2) and Thomas(#4) vs. Odunze(#3) and Polk(#10?)

everyone loves a cannon arm. but I would have processing speed, accuracy and footwork ahead of arm strength on my wish list. of course, good coaching, weapons that can create a mismatch and an OL

I don't know if this stat is kept but it seems like Penix led football in drawing offsides.
I'm always hearing " Its a free play" in his highlights.
The fact that he is difficult to sack (1 for every 51)has a component of anxiety for the pass rushers, leading to jumping offsides out of desperation to pressure him.
That's gravity to me.
And that's moving the offense, too.

Or you did read/hear that somewhere? some of both, but for sure more read, watching you tube. I probably saw 2 games from WIlliams this season on TV and 2 games last season. prob same for JJmc I saw Penix play 2 times this season, Nix 1 time on TV Daniels I think I saw 2 games this season all on TV of course I did not see Maye at all this season what struck me first and foremost is how wide open targets were for Washington, LSu and USC

thats about 10th or 11th on my list for what I would look for in a QB Now you sound determined to hate. I love him. I would be thrilled if the Pats selected him, but in that 11 thru 34 slot. not #3, and would want another draft pick in the top 10. thats why I like the Vikings at 11 and 23. you could get Penix at 11 and a starting LT at 23 or a WR1 at 23 or 34. if you like Penix, and I know you do, you fill 3 major needs in this draft if the Pats could also get the Vikes #1 in 2025, I make the deal in a second

Count me amongst the people who think Michael Penix Jr. will be a better NFL QB than Drake Maye. Am with you there. Better arm talent. Better athletic talent. But Maye will be drafted higher. Much higher, actually.
