Pro days should be replaced with player visits. If a team wants to work a player out it should be on their terms. I find it strange that we’re seeing guys refuse to do medicals though. They’re about to get paid millions by a company that should be able to see that the product they’re purchasing isn’t a bad investment due to health.

What I read somwhere was that they are willing to do medicals but only for the teams that have a reason to see it (like teams who have serious interest in them and are in position to draft them). They do not want their medicals to be accessible by just anyone who wants it.

seems that player's agent/pr team listened to "criticisms" from combine appearance - and used the pro day to address the "weaknesses". All were drilled in advance as to what to say to press.

Maybe I am wrong, but I don't see much chatter about teams being upset about it.

I think anyone that watched Drake Maye today has to think…he is effortless, ridiculously talented, nowhere close to his immense ceiling, and throws the ball to terrible receivers. He may not even be there at three. He can put that football anywhere he wants to, and he’s no guarantee to be there at three…and it’s very very rare to have someone like him sitting there at three. They will be total MORONS if they don’t select him. And I would not be surprised if they f’d this up.

There’s a pretty good chance the Redskins take him and that he has been the guy the whole time. We’ll see. I hope not. I really want Maye in New England. And you’re right about something else. It would not be surprising at all if they screwed this up.

And believe me, I hope the Redskins are picking Maye apart and talking themselves out of drafting him because I think he’s the most talented QB in this class by far. I think he has the best chance to be a great professional QB. I really hope the Patriots get a chance to draft him, and if they do, I really hope they don’t get cute and screw it up by passing on him.

I feel A LOT more comfortable with AVP in charge of QB development than I do Matt Patricia or even BB for that matter. At this point for me it's Williams, Maye, Daniels, in that order, when it comes to that number 3 pick depending on how that board unfolds.

I agree with your draft order. lot of chatter happening about JJMc crashing that party, and about the Raiders and Vikings getting aggressive to move up.

I think I also agree about the level of confidence with AVP, McAdoo, Wolf, Groh and the scouts detirmining who is the best fit at QB for the team.

the last time we saw so many people jazzed up over a QB pro day Trey Lance was the #3 pick. #perspective

Yeah JJMc is right there, at number 4 for me and I suspect QB desperate teams are going to get real interested to move up in order to grab one of these guys. I love the idea of being in position to take advantage, but I hate the idea of moving out so far that we miss out on all.

Definitely the receivers fault! Lol He threw another one outside the left sideline. On the RZ throws, he threw one so high, his receiver had to really stretch he could only reach the ball with one hand. Great effort to pull that down for a completion. Even on a scripted drill, he loses control of the ball. If it has something to do with the small hands, that's not going to be good enough for NE weather. There is also something I saw today that confirmed what I thought I saw while watching his games during the season - For a big guy who supposedly has a big arm, his throwing motion is not compact. His forward motion starts from way back behind him. I do not believe this pro day helped him get ahead of Daniels. If at all I believe it reinforced Daniels above Maye.

Maybe. The only problem being Washington wants a new QB, and they may not be willing to move down to 11 in order to get whatever is left of the rush. Are we? That is the question, but we seem to be in a more desperate spot when it comes to different positions of need.

Maye day is the real deal…size, arm, speed..intelligence ..work ethic. And enjoys being coached hard (per him).. have a feeling that Wash. now has a tough decision. Needs to work on some things but only 21 he has the time to get those straightened out…by that time the receiver room will be upgraded.
