Fellowship of the Rings right here! LFG! Okay ... Weird Alert! But, could you imagine if Ted Bruschi and Jimmy Garrapolo somehow made a baby together? It would be the most beautiful human who ever existed. But we can all agree on which one would be the child bearer in your scenario...right? Cuz it ain't Tedy Fkn Bruschi!

Hes been saying it longer than that. His weekly analysis last year was very much anti Cam and that was totally fair. I think if he saw anybody other than Cam throwing the ball well hed be jumping for joy honestly. Ok. I really haven’t started watching his podcasts till this year...and even then not all that often. His partner on the casts isn’t too bad, unlike the guy with Curran (who I can’t stand to even look at for some reason). Is Phil Perry with Curran? I honestly dont listen to Bedards podcasts either. I get his main points during his guests spots on the radio, and a chunk of his columns etc. I had a membership to BSJ for a bit as well.

Nailed it in your first line - that is f****n mega-weird. It has recently been brought to my attention that -- in this fine new age -- it is perfectly acceptable for me to claim no responsibility for the stuff that comes out of my mouth. ( or ... you know ... off the tips of my fingers, as the case may be ) You're alluding to that hackneyed, tired old practice of actually taking responsibility for things that we do or say, aren't you? Of course it's acceptable to dodge, weave, deflect and perseverate (unless of course you use an anti-perseverant). Do carry on.

Yeah but Zo is also high! It’s best not to believe too much of what we hear second hand during camp, by the end these guys will have us running in circles trying to figure out who is good. Joint practices and preseason will sort it out. The news cycle -- the internet -- is voracious. You have to keep saying things, or the Borg will forget you have an opinion. I goof on modern "journalism" quite a bit in here, but the reality is that it doesn't really matter what you say anymore, so long as you keep talking. People (by and large) are going to stick with their preconceived notions in any case. We have come to that place where validation is more important than information. Sadly ... I was born about 30 years too soon.

This designation is based not on the quality of the content you may have contributed -- which I will assume has been of the highest caliber -- but on the pure number of posts you have logged. I could be a Pro Bowler next week. All I would have to do is come in and post brief, repetitive nonsense all hours of the day and night, until such time as my persistence was rewarded with the coveted internet forum designation I deem worthy of myself. I'm almost tempted to abandon my screen persona so I can remain On The Practice Squad forever, as a bizarre form of protest that would make sense only to me ... but the first time I opened my mouth under any screen name, you guys would all know it was me. So ... you know ... I'm not gonna do that.

I'd been a proud practice squadder for a long time... Not Patriots-related in any way ... but I used to hang out on the official discussion forum of a very prolific and popular writer of scary stories (He's from Maine, if that helps), and whenever I logged on there would be literally hundreds of notifications about "likes" from various forum members for my posts. This may seem odd, but it actually irritated me (to be fair, most things do). I know there is supposed to be some kind of endorphin rush when people you'll never meet respond to stuff you shotgun off the top of your head -- and people are claiming to be addicted to it -- but I made the point on that forum that , if you "like" everything, what value does your approval really carry? I use the "like" and the "lol" buttons on this forum occasionally because it's an easy way to show people that I'm paying at least a modicum of attention. But if I really like your post, you'll know ... because I'll quote it and go on at length about what it made me think of. You know ... like I just did.

I can’t stand watching him and he talks waaay too much (IMO)...and his face is extremely distracting during the podcast, his face/eyes move all over the place. He’s probably a guy on the way up and quite honestly I just find him annoying.

I forget what program I was watching on Netflix last week, but the joke was: " You're hearing this on the radio, which means you're in an assisted-living facility ... " The podcast is a strange animal, which seems to want to be radio and TV at the same time, but I don't care about any of that. What we should concern ourselves with now is what kind of award mthurl should win for " ... his face is extremely distracting."

So ... you know ... I'm not gonna do that. you sure your not Laz?! You know ... it's funny that you ask this. Like many of us, I appreciated what Lazarusinthesanitorium brought to our BDC community back in the day, but I am not especially flattered by the comparison. Laz was a true stream-of-consciousness guy. He could be pretty funny, but often you would have to wade through a lot of chaff to get to the wheat (if you take my meaning). I like to have a point, and if it's true that I sometimes struggle to get to it -- and it is -- I honestly don't want people confusing my confusion with some weak attempt to be a pale reflection of of Hunter S. Thompson But none of that is really important. What's important is that I was actually watching Family Guy reruns a few nights ago, and it occurred to me: Wouldn't it be funny if that guy, Quagmire, on the Pats forum, really was like Glenn Quagmire, and nobody knew it? That's the kind of stuff I think about.

P-Mike is not Laz. How do I know? P-Mike is coherent. At best, Laz was an acquired taste, like the brown acid at Woodstock, or so I’m told.
Then there was that jabroni Commie Contrarian. He was Laz’s wannabe rap cousin.

Is there a post count that defines your “status” here? I always wondered how that was established.

He was Laz’s wannabe rap cousin. Exactly. I am not kidding at all and being 100% truthful when I say I could never fully read a single Laz post. His posts could be used to test for ADHD. I could make it about halfway through a Laz post before I'd just give up. He was definitely an acquired taste. I never got the fandom. And contrary to what some believed when they would fawn over his posts, I'm pretty sure his writing grades in school sucked. In fact, I know it. No, they are not the same. P-mike writes english you can understand with one reading, that you can actually read, that flows and is witty. P-mike got good grades in school. P-mike is Claude Monet. You can look at his "art" and grasp it. Laz is Van Gogh, but only half as good (or twice as bad). His posts were abstract and probably meant something different to each person. The true meaning only known to an acid fried brain. Sorry if that is a bit brutal. I call em like I see em…or in this case read em…which I could never fully do with Laz Van Gogh.
