I find it ironic the group largely telling us all offseason that BB’s motivation was “desperation” in signing 200 million dollars worth of free agents are now telling us these same players suck. It’s always talent… execution doesn’t exist, it’s a lot like the salary cap. Mistakes, errors, fumbles, missed blocks… it’s because our weapons or defenders suddenly aren’t fast enough or can’t get separation… not that they’re just playing poorly. In fairness to others though, poor execution and lack of talent all look the same. The end result is the same. The only difference is that one is fixable. It's a big difference but unless and until it is fixed it just doesn't matter if a bad play was caused by lack of talent or poor execution. It's a bad play and all bad plays look the same and have the same results. This is similar to a point I raised with mthurl about Mac's arm strength, which I think is getting out of hand. All QB's throw bad passes nearly every game. Even the GOAT still does. A bad pass is a bad pass regardless of the reason. The GOAT NEVER threw a bad pass. This is the one subject where the so-called 'objective' fan refuses to be well ... objective. Quit hiding your head in the sand man!

In the TNF game there was a period where it looked like Brady and Hurts were competing to see who could throw the most inaccurate downfield pass. That was where I started thinking about how every bad pass Mac throws gets attributed to his arm strength and asked myself "so what is causing all of these bad passes?" Hurts threw some wildly inaccurate passes, but he threw them like they were shot out of a cannon so I guess that makes them somehow better. Brady threw an interception on a deep attempt that went straight to the defender without a Bucs player anywhere near the ball. Had Mac thrown that ball it surely would have been because of his "peashooter" arm. No, a bad pass is a bad pass and all QB's make them. The reason doesn't matter. The good QB's just make a lot less of them. Mac doesn't make many bad throws. That's the bottom line.

They're still the same negative a-holes even when the team is winning.

A good number of the people negative now have been negative for as long as I have been here (and BDC). 2007 might have been the only season these guys thought we were talented and BB didn't suck. But after we lost the SB they returned to form lol.

You know Brady should have retired a Patriot and you know who is at fault, but the homer in you won't allow you to identify with your emotions. So you lash out at Brady in an anticipatory defense pattern . You mock people who who have never even thought "Brady is infallible" let alone said it, all because BB's actions have proven one thing...he is infallible and even becoming prone to making mistakes more often. Bill has made decisions that hurt this football team, he is declining(probably should drink Alex's brain juice), and the aftermath has left us in an expensive rebuild with 9 wins and 13 losses since he decided to squeeze out the two GOATS. We could still be winning right now. You know it, I know it, everybody knows it. But Bill wanted to start over...kind of...maybe...who knows because again his actions are confusing at best. Let's hope the rebuild gets back on track against our punching bag this week. If we win 8 of the next 11 like I think we can, I'll start believing Bill had some semblance of a plan again. Until then I guess we keep celebrating moral victories and hoping for the future....like most other franchises do.

I bet against him last season and paid for it but I still love the guy. He also plays for my local team and I typically adopt my local team as my 2nd team, the red-headed stepchild. But to say I lash out at Brady is delusional. And look, you know damned well that there have always been the BBBW and BBW groups here. I always thought of myself as being in both groups. Kinda proud of it. Don't pretend like people defending every move BB makes didn't happen with Brady too. Actually, this is another great example of this passive aggressive thing in abundance here. People will say "I never said Brady is infallible" but they'd defend every single bad pass he ever threw. And yes, it's the same with BB…with some.

For you to say this is pure irony. You've been on the ledge ever since Brady left (of his own free will). Once a good poster on this forum you've become a an on-going joke not to be taken seriously. Yeah, you "properly identified what would happen when Bill ended the dynasty." LMAO. And, what was that exactly? That he would tear down the team and rebuild? Then you would right. But you make sure you always throw a little dig in there, like "Bill fvcked us", "Bill pushed Brady out the door", "Bill traded Gronk to Detroit" , "Bill ended the dynasty" and on and on for what, over a year now? Put that whiskey to good use boy. Either drink more of it or put the bottle down.

That must have been embarrassing. Because of that I don't get all pissy when we lose, like some people I know. While once a good poster, lately you sound like a 70 year old child, Benjamin Button, whining, crying and insulting people daily. And like it or not, Bill is the reason Brady didn't retire a Pat which is directly the reason we are no longer contending for superbowls. This is why you lash out daily.

Is that his cap hit (e.g. prorated bonuses) or what he is actually getting put into his bank account this season? It's NOT what he is getting paid. I'm sure he did feel old after that game. Tough game, about 20 snaps more than typical for a game, and the only player to play 100% of the snaps because he's seemingly always available, reliable, and trusted. You know, the kind of guys you are often willing to pay. What do you mean? He earned 14 million last year and 9 this year.

Did I think they were going to roll with Stidham after Brady decided to leave? Yes, but we ended up with Cam Newton instead. So, I don't see any reason to be embarrassed. You're reaching here. Also, I don't get pissy when we lose. Show one post where I have gotten pissy. On the contrary, I've been trying to calm down posters, encouraging them to have patience and NOT as you point out above whining and crying like you've been doing for the past year. Nice try though. Your pal Solly probably has your back though. YOu're in good company there then. Bill is the reason for Brady's Greatness. He should be grateful to Bill for letting go to another team for a legit chance at another ring. And so should you since you seem to be more of a Brady fan than a Pats fan.

why is wanting to be better, quickly, "being negative"? I want this team to be great again. I like the base with Mac/Harris/Onwenu/Henry/Smith/Meyers/Shaq and maybe Wynn I like the defensive base with Dugger/JC Jackson (if he stays)/Barmore/Uche/Bentley I think Bailey is the best in the league. its a nice base that needs more esp at OL, DB, RB

They arent super young at most key positions except QB. Obviously the most influential, but they're still older on Defense at a whole. I think the average age of their roster is still among the oldest in the league Mac is at QB... young. Cajuste was starting his first game ever last week and got Mac blown up... young. Who has fumbled in key situations at RB this season; Harris, Stevenson, Taylor... young, young, young. Duggar, Joejuan... young. Jakobi... young. Herron, Onwenu, Durant... young, young, young. Uche, Winovich... young, young. Yeah, they're young at key positions and with key contributors. And a lot of players that aren't young are new faces playing in this system for the first time, expecting perfection isn't realistic.

I guess the bigger question is why a 3x Super Bowl Champion, 3x All Pro and 2x Pro Bowler who was second in INT's in 2019 doesn't deserve to get paid like one of the better free safeties in the league? Spotrac has him listed as the 6th highest paid free safety in the NFL... pretty reasonable for the QB of your secondary, one of your best players and leaders.

Ya, I dont consider guys that are filling in/role players to be key components of the current roster. 100% Mac is young, and is vital to the team. Their defense is not a young defense, especially the guys that are mostly on the field. You can pick Duggar, which is fine...Hes surrounded by veterans. The defensive failures are not because of inexperience. The most vital player on the roster is young, which I agree with you on. He effects everything the offense does. But I think going into the year we thought the defense would carry the offense...Do you agree? They are amongst the oldest rosters in the league statistically The new faces is totally fair, but this is a difference between signing your own guys comparing to building in FA. Never know what youre getting without a guy in house for years.

I went to PFR and toggled "starts" and "snaps" to cull this data. So while you may not consider these players "contributors," actual facts says you're wrong... that and how we can actually see these same young players making dumb mistakes every week.
