That’s tough. Looking at simulators frequently, a lot of offers don’t get that type of return.
For instance,
The NYG are offering 6, 39, 70 and 1rst 2025
The Falcons offer 8, 43, 1rst &3rd 2025
The Cardinals offer 4 & 35 (I’d do this and trade down again if that was the goal)
The Vikings offer 11, 42, 1rst & 3rd 2025
The Saints offer 14,45 , 1rst & 2nd 2025.
I don’t know how realistic these offers are. If the Pats are looking to trade down I’d still like to see them remain in the top 10. They desperately need talent and can’t afford to whiff.

If they move back I like the Giants offer / slot. If they could pull the Cardinals and then something close to the NYG slot I’d love that haul. That would give them 6, 34,35, 39, 68, 70 in the top 100 and a second 1rst next year. I agree (if they don’t love Maye or Daniel’s) then get ALL you can and draft a QB in the 4th and hope it hits. But you should have added lots of talent. Sign Jacoby and Jimmy as bridge guys. We will have 2 number 1s next year as well. Build in the trenches and skill players and with a good draft we can win 10 games next year with those QBs and out D. Then get your QB next year. Hard to do this but if you don’t love the QB at 3 don’t reach. I like JJM in the teens but he won’t last. |

Don't know the "value" or "point" system, but for this year with Giants; if the Patriots can trade #3 for a 2024 1st rnd pick at #6, a 2nd at #39, and 3rd rounder at #70
That would be good. Is this even doable? That would give the Patriots 5 picks in the first 3 rounds this year.

Definitely agree they’re in a great spot. My stance on this today is the same it has been for the last few months. If the quarterback that falls to 3 is a guy you love with all possible conviction and think is the guy for the next decade, I don’t care what the trade offer is, you turn it all down and you take the guy there. If you don’t have that conviction on anyone available iat 3, then you trade down and acquire more draft capital. Trade down multiple times if you want. Just as long as you’re getting a blue chip prospect at whatever position in round one, I’m good with it. this team needs a lot more than just a quarterback to be a contending team. |

Kinda feels like the draft starts at 3. Bears are locked in and feels like Skins are too. Pats? Seems a lot more fluid.

The rookie QB salary is doable. No, he has dead cap hits every year through 2027 and they aren’t free fully of those dead cap hits from Murray’s contract until 2028. Why they signed him to this huge deal makes no sense. A small qb who has been injured, not led his team anywhere and needed a clause in their contract that required them to do their job and watch film weekly (which when made public they backed off of) doesn’t inspire confidence or ads trade value beyond teams that are desperate. My take: it’s the second qb worst contract in the nfl currently (after watson). |
