I could give two shits where he was drafted nor who drafted him I have posted often that he does not suck, but he is an average NFL OG and given his age, he does not have a whole lot of upside. this team could use some solid OL players and regardless if they are starters or reserves, they are valuable. no one wants to see injury. I hope Strange comes back asap and is a contributor to the OL. many believe he will be passed by, and thought as much regardless of injury. time will tell. but you ranting a poster "hates" a player because of who drafted him and when is foolish. Oh bullsht... you've have a hard-on to fire any and every player who has even a whiff of BB stink on him. Every player they drafted or acquired this offseason is magical, wonderful... but Strange, Mapu, Marcus Jones... these guys are all in danger of being cut or not talent enough. Please... you're the biggest BB hater here and have been for decades. If Strange career ends because of a debilitating knee injury, then that was the cause... not because he wasn't a good player. Even average players can scratch out a ten year career as a backup or even a starter on bad teams. Taking glee in the injury of a Patriot player on his rookie contract simply because BB drafted him... a new low, but not surprising for you. ^this is your most foolish take to date, in a long line of many.

Not very different according to what metric? Cole Strange has been about a league average player, and plays most snaps when healthy... which isn't exactly what you want in Rd 1, but Tyquan Thornton has done next to nothing in two seasons. Strange has done next to nothing. He makes Tyquan look like Iron Man! What are YOU talking about? Strange "makes Tyquan look like an Iron Man"...LOL!!!!!!!! It's really a sad state of affairs for our beloved "Boys in Blue". Can y'all imagine the fun we would be having if the "Strange One" and the "Iron One" were Jests draftees?? LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn’t say you said he was “bad”, I said you didn’t think highly of him. You said they overdrafted him in the 4th round. Meanwhile I’m saying Cole Strange shouldn’t have been drafted in the first round, and now I’m a mean Bill Belichick basher. Ridiculous. “Also a guy with long arms and wingspan, also a guy who’s fast but at 302 pounds you expect him to be faster than the 330 pound monsters. He also had a good not great shuttle so he has some mobility. He didn’t bench… again why, a strong guy wants to show it off and both of these drafted lineman don’t weigh nearly enough for their respective positions. And again, maybe he’s really really strong and for some reason didn’t want to bench, maybe he’s a really great technician and can be a good undersized guard at this next level… a Josh Kline… I doubt it. Both of these lineman in year’s past were typical athletes they would have taken from the 5th round on… projects.” In one paragraph you criticized his speed for size ratio, questioned his strength, compared him to Josh Kline (and doubted he could reach that level), called him an undersized guard that would have been drafted in the fifth round or later. I would say that is “not thinking highly” of someone, no? Meanwhile your buddy Nagy graded him as a starter and bargain in the fourth. So again, Coke Strange was drafted in the first, he shouldn’t have been… he has done NOTHING to warrant his draft status in two years heading into three. And now it’s personal to you because Bill Belichick overdrafted and reached at a level that it became a standing national joke (literally). Admit it, Cole Strange was irrelevant... you just hated that BB traded back in the first then had the gall to take a guard. People had a similar reaction when he took Logan Mankins at the end of the first round... Kiper ripped into him along with the rest of the national media and fans. Fans hate taking a guard in the first after they've waited for hours to see what the team would do. Your second paragraph is baloney, Strange played really well his rookie year, especially for a rookie. He had some hiccups early on, just like Solder and other rookie starters they drafted, then he put it all together and played great the last 8 games of that season. Even last year in the turmoil and mess he was a stabilizing force if only for a short time, this while playing on an already injured knee. Nobody outside of Patriot nation thinks about Cole Strange in the least... you people will hang on his draft pick for a decade or more, even if he gets healthy and has a long successful career. He's played a year and a half, he got hurt, it happens... get over it. Admit it? I already said it…they shouldn’t have drafted a damn guard in the first round of the draft unless he was a disruptive force planet person. Strange clearly is not. The guy might develop into a solid guard (like fourth round pick guards eventually do), but you don’t draft average guards in round one. Period.
