After throwing five picks, including two pick sixes, in today's 30-9 loss at home to Jacksonville, Ben Roethlisberger twitted on his account, "Maybe I don't have it anymore."
Yikes!!!

From Yahoo: This may be hard to believe, but it appears all is not well in the Pittsburgh Steelers locker room.
For the fourth consecutive week the Steelers are dealing with another self-inflicted controversy. NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport tweeted Sunday night that wide receiver Martavis Bryant has requested a trade from the only NFL team he’s ever played for.
Bryant was suspended for the entire 2016 NFL season for violating the league’s substance abuse policy and hasn’t found much traction in the Steelers’ offense since returning this year. He’s hauled in just 15 catches for 204 yards and one touchdown while starting alongside Antonio Brown.
It’s odd that this would leak out after a massive 19-13 victory over the previously undefeated Kansas City Chiefs, but with the trade deadline set for October 31, there isn’t much time to hold back if Bryant is trying to force a move.
This has turned into quite a disastrous start to the year off the field for head coach Mike Tomlin —who famously tries to avoid distractions at all costs.
To recap Steelers first month or so of the season there was the Alejandro Villanueva anthem controversy in Week 3, followed by Brown’s sideline tantrum in Week 4 and then quarterback Ben Roethlisberger tossed five interceptions against the Jaguars in Week 5 before saying, “Maybe I don’t have it anymore.”
Oh, and then Roethlisberger tried to pretend like he never said that.
This has unquestionably been one of the weirder Steelers seasons in quite some time.
When you factor in Roethlisberger’s offseason comments about possibly retiring after this year it gets even stranger. And, if you go back shortly before that, there was Brown’s locker room video controversy during last season’s playoffs.
Winning has naturally made these issues a lot easier to brush off. The Steelers are 4-2 to start the year and sitting atop a weaker-than-normal AFC North. That will help a lot of fans tune most of this stuff out. But a trade request is a big deal. As is week-after-week of non-football talk dominating the discussion in Pittsburgh.
For as much talent and star power as the Steelers boast — to say nothing of the chemistry built up over years of playing with each other — it’s amazing these flare ups keep happening at all.
Somehow the team that hates distractions seems unable to stay focused.

They played like they are in chiefs heads. Bryant, brown, and bell. Kinda talented. Gotta admit. .

From PFT:
If Martavis Bryant is happy to be in Pittsburgh as he claimed last week, he has a funny way of showing it.
The Steelers receiver took to Instagram on Sunday night to make a case for more targets, again expressing frustration with his role in the offense. In the process, Bryant took a swipe at teammate JuJu Smith-Schuster and intimated he wants out of Pittsburgh.
A post from “FantasyFootballCounselor” showed a video of Ben Roethlisberger overthrowing Antonio Brown on third-and-one and criticized the Steelers quarterback for forcing the ball to Brown rather than throwing to Bryant. A commenter trolled Bryant, tagging him in a reply that stated Smith-Schuster is better.
Bryant took the bait, responding from his official account, “JuJu is no where near better than me, fool. All they need to do is give me what I want and y’all can have JuJu and whoever else.”
The post later was deleted.
Instead, Bryant’s Instagram comment about Smith-Schuster now reads: “JuJu is the future and got great talent and is going to be one of the best to play this game. I want him to get his. I just want mines, period, point-blank. Ain’t nobody did nothing to get me back. I worked my ass off to get myself back with no help and little support, period. In due time the process will show.”
Roethlisberger targeted Smith-Schuster three times in Sunday’s 29-14 victory over the Bengals, completing two for 39 yards and a touchdown. He targeted Bryant twice, with Bryant making one catch for 3 yards.
For the season, Bryant, who missed last season while serving a suspension, has 36 targets and 18 catches for 234 yards and a touchdown.
NFL Media reported last week that Bryant had requested a trade, and team president Art Rooney II responded that the Steelers are not looking to trade the frustrated receiver.
But Bryant’s continued expressions of displeasure and frustration might influence the team into moving him before the Oct. 31 deadline.

Bryant imo has definite talent/upside. seems a change of scenery would be best for him. I could see him moved by the dead line. Giants? Bears? Chargers?

Top 3 AFC teams this season will be Pats, Steelers and Raiders. The Steelers will be a legit threat this season. Ouch - Not looking good with your call here. What do you think about this now? It will be a fight between the Chiefs and Raiders, but looking like a good call on Pats and Steelers. Looks like some here have misjudged the Steelers this season.

The Steelers were actually playing better last season, until they were ravaged by injuries. There's lot's of football yet to be played. Steelers defense is better this year, they have unbelievable WR talent this year and of course they still have Bell running the ball. No, they weren't playing better last season. Through the first 8 games last year they were 4-4, this year 6-2. Defense is allowing an average of 5 points per game less this season then last season. Their offense is scoring an average of 2 points less this season than last season, and rushing/passing yards are about the same. they had to play a lot of catch up in their games last season, so you would think their yards and points would be higher last year but they aren't. You're wrong, they are playing better this season.

The steelers have a pretty favorable schedule the rest of the year. Timing is everything in the NFL and they get GB without Rogers, the Texans without Watson and the Browns to end the season. Barring some major collapse they are going 12-4 at worse, most likely 13-3 and possibly 14-2. I can see them being the 1 seed and NE having to go to Pittsburgh in the playoffs. That doesn't mean NE can't beat them there but it will be difficult to say the least. If that does happen it would be a great opportunity for this Pats group to do what no Pats team has done I a long time... Win. A road playoff game.

Let me just point out that the Squealers barely escaped the Detroit Lions last week in Detroit, and were very, very lucky to do so. That said, they were impressive in beating the Chiefs in Kansas City. The Pats should match the Goths stride for stride until they clash in December...provided that the Patriots handle their business this coming Sunday night in Denver. I see the Denver game as being the toughest on the Pats' schedule, until they meet Trips' boys in Ketchupville.

Miami will play them tough in Miami and the Bills will give them a go in both those games. Each game on the schedule presents unique opportunities and challenges and right now and IMO Pittsburgh has fewer challenges on the schedule than NE going forward.

With their schedule and their talent they certainly are "destined" for the AFC #1 seed. Stop acting like they are arrogant for thinking that... we think it every year. This season they have a legit reason for thinking that at this point of the season. They don't have a tough game the rest of the season with the exception of the Patriots and maybe if we want to really stretch it.. the Titans. at worst they split those two games. So they end up 13-3. They hold the tie breaker over the Chiefs. The Chiefs have 3 games they could possibly lose.. Bills, Raiders, Chargers. Patriots have Raiders, Steelers, Bills x2, so yeah, you're in total denial if you think the Steelers aren't "destined" for the #1 seed.

I won't go that far because they will probably choke but they've got the best shot at the 1 seed unless that Patriots run the table. Looking at their joke of a schedule whos going to beat them? Their only tough game they've got is at home against the Patriots. If the Patriots can keep improving they should beat them but it's going to be a lot tougher than last year's AFC championship imo. They've got a better defense this year but Ben hasn't been very good and his best years are behind him. There is also the Tomlin factor too. Patriots are better but the Steelers have a very easy schedule. That division is weak.

We have REASON to believe that our team will earn the #1 seed based on the fact the our team has obtained the #1 seed practically every season since 2010. When's the last time that the mighty Goths have accomplished this feat? They should shut up and produce once in a while before they start huffing and puffing. They shot off their collective mouths last year, too - and as usual, fell short. In fairness, the Goths and their hordes of followers are seemingly #1 every season at three things: talking smack, whining, and the inevitable excuse making.

Don’t let your hate fuel your ignorance. The Steelers look better this year than the have for quite sometime now. Big Ben struggles on the road but with that schedule they shouldn’t have many problems.

The discussion isn't abouut whether the Steelers have a decent shot at the #1 seed. It's about an idiot reporter claiming that they're "destined" for the #1 seed. To say that is presumptuous at best, and extremely arrogant at worst. What have the Steelers done to support the claim that they're "destined" to earn the #1 seed? Every season, we hear about how great the Steelers are, and that they pose the greatest threat to the Patriots in the AFC. When is the last time that the Steelers earned the #1 seed? Now, what have the Patriots done since 2010? There's no comparison. All the Steelers do seemingly every season is lead the lead in whines and excuse making. Heck, the Steelers and their warped fans are still complaining about how the Patriots "cheated" them out of championships in 2001 and 2004. It's time for these clowns to keep their mouths shut, until, for a change, they produce. Until they can show some results, they are "destined" for nothing, except a steep decline, the minute Roethlisberger retires.

They already hold a tie breaker over the Chiefs, so yeah, they are destined for that #1 spot. If they beat the Pats, might as well give them that spot after the game. And don’t act like the Steelers fans are acting that way, Pats fans do it every year. I hate the Steelers, I have many friends who are Steelers fans, hell.. in of my favorite cousins is a Steelers fan and they drive me crazy but this season looks really good for them. I think the have the 2nd best odds to win the SB. Pats have the best odds. Pats need that #1 or 2 seed to win it this year, as of right now it looks like we better hope for the #2 seed because #1 seed is the Steelers, if they want it.

Again, you purposely miss the point...and have totally failed to address my points. Some people will do anything to try to win an argument, I guess.
These are the same Steelers who annually shoot off their mouths about how great they are, but rarely does their rhetoric match their play. We'll see what happens in a couple of months.

It would be awesome if GB manages to hold the lead and beat the Steelers.
Watching their D today, if they play at this level vs us, TB is going to have a field day.
Ben inconsitent playing just continues as well.
