Nice comeback win against Texans, but the Patriots will need the play flawless to beat the Cowboys. need TDs and not FGs, and Harris needs to stop fumbling in the red zone.
If BB can shut down Brady, he should be able to shutdown Prescott.

Not sure how this defense slows down Dak Cooper Lamb Schultz Zeke and Pollard, but after watching Kadarius Toney absolutely abuse the Cowboys defense I have hope our offense can score some points!

You can’t beat good teams if you can’t more than 20 points against them. They scored 25 against the lousy texans but they might have to score over 28 to beat the cowboys who look legit.

It’s going to be a very tough game. Dallas is playing really well. But they have been a Jekyll and Hyde team for years now, and coming off of a big home win and coming to NE isn’t always easy for teams. I think NE is still figuring things out, but I think they are going to start playing better and better. I think this will be a close game decided late.

I think theyve only beaten 1 team with a winning record since Brady left. Could be 2 but the win over the ravens is the only one that comes to mind.
They need to come out prepared and motivated, no slow start again. No fumbles and get the d off the field on 3rd down. Dallas is legit

I think the Cowboys are beatable but the Pats haven't shown me anything to get excited about. The home team needs to turn the page badly or this could be a blow out. Offensively the Pats will not be able to keep up if it comes down to a shooting match.

You can't draw the correlations between teams or weeks. Every week/matchup is entirely its own thing. Who ever executes well and plays error free will have the best chance of winning the game/matchup. Yes I realize I am stating the obvious.

In the nfl, a lot of teams tend to look unbeatable one week, and terrible the next. It’s a week to week league. Let’s hope NE has a good one next Sunday. If they play well, they are entirely capable of beating Dallas.

Feels like we might be that team that plays to the level of its competition. I actually expect the Pats to come out well against the Cowboys. Yesterday’s game had A LOT of valuable lessons and things to learn and then improve upon, both by players and coaches.
For real, let’s quit the screen pass now that White is gone, unless BB wants to go get Burkhead back. Mac looks like he can hit guys when the scheme gets receivers open. Seeing him hit Henry all day long reminded me of Brady/Gronk but the lite version. For the love of god, keep that up! I know people didn’t think highly of Bourne but that guy can make things happen and can make first downs happen, he should be getting more love.
I pray for our RB group moving forward.

We've been this way the entirety of BB's tenure. I'd wager anything that the Pats have had more ugly games against sucky teams than they've had against good teams.

In 2018 the Patriots lost back to back games against the Jaguars and Lions.

Yup, they will play horrible against a bad team one week then play great against a good team the following week. They also have a way of making a career backup qb's look like pro bowlers only to shut down actual pro bowlers. They rarely ever get lit up by the best quarterbacks

Somewhere in these archives, or the BDC archives, I've actually said that I sometimes fear the backup QB more than the starter lol.

My concern is that the Tampa game performance on defense was an extreme outlier, Brady trying too hard. Dallas can beat you running and throwing, the Patriots run defense is still suspect.
The defense against the Texans yesterday had all the hallmarks of the Patricia defenses, they just kept bending. The broke several times in the first time against inferior offensive talent. They managed to stiffen toward the end. That’s great. They got the win. At the end, that’s all that matters.
I don’t have a lot of faith in this defense holding Dallas under 28, the offense hasn’t scored that many this year. This game looks like a tough ask for the Patriots, Foxboro or not.
I wonder how seriously anyone would be talking about the Patriots beating Dallas if the Houston coaching staff didn’t spit the bit yesterday?

Couldn't been the weather - Brady was a master at weather games.
The Dallas game will give us a peak into the crystal ball on how they will do the rest of the season - the schedule is very tough from this point on.
Who knows JMcD might have 5 good trick plays that score TDs
