Why? Because despite all the warts which every team has they were in the game against one of the best teams right until the end. They just need to make a few more plays. And they will. I dont really understand this logic...They also shouldve lost to the texans...who are awful. Doesnt mean theyre as bad as that, but being in a competitive game with a good team doesnt mean theyre ready to take off either imo You're right, it doesn't mean they're ready to take off. However, competing well against top teams is a positive indicator vs getting blown out being a negative indicator.

So we will have to wait and see. Personally I dont think they have improved much from week 1...doesnt mean that they wont though. They have the personnel to be better then what they are right now though imo

imo the issues the team has are penalties, miscommunication, missed assignments and fumbles I have not seen that improve since week 1 if anything, it was worse against Dallas

Comment on what I see from the 2 factions: 1. No, the season is not over. And no the Patriots are not going to suck the rest of the year. We might even start a winning streak next week and go on to make the playoffs. 2. No, Mac does not walk on water and turn water into wine. He will not be the next Tom Brady. He will be Mac Jones, whatever that turns out to be. And yes, it is OK to criticize anyone on this team, including Mac and BB.Prolly more than 2 "factions". At end of day, why would any reader take offense with someone else's perspective? I pretty much agree with the bold above.

Time is running out on the excuses/justification/rationalizations as to the poor outcome (losing record). IMO, Mac Jones is not the problem (and its still up in the air as to how high/low his ceiling is). We'll find out soon enough...so long as Mac doesn't get hurt any time soon.

Just the 11 turnovers alone would be enough to explain the 2-4 record. Add the penalties and poor pass protection and that spells disaster. Yet somehow they have still been competitive. Clean up the mistakes and watch the wins pile up.

Many skilled/reputable veterans have been acquired in past - who couldn't even make it thru camp.

telling it like it is. Now go back to trying to be an internet bully tough guy 😂 That's what all you delusional fans on the forum say and are usually wrong especially in your case. I'm not the one being called out almost daily for posting dumb shit. Now I neither have the time to give nor the patience to converse with so-called fans like yourself. But by all means, carry on. We need the laughs here. you don’t have the time or patience to converse….yet you had the time to post. Interesting. Guess you internet tough guys missed out on logic class. 🤡

Clean up the mistakes and watch the wins pile up. Turnovers absolutely. Pass protection problems certainly. I just looked up penalties though and we are actually middle of the pack. Tied for #17 for number of penalties and #16 for yards. If our current pace holds true then we'd actually have 96 penalties through 16 games. Since 2009 the Pats have had 7 seasons with more penalties than that. 2014 was the worst with over 8 penalties per game on average. Why did I use 2009? The site I looked at only went back that far. In a nutshell, I think the other issues are creating a "pile on" effect. Our penalties this season really aren't anything exceptional or too far outside of normal for us. We've had 8, 6, 4, 8, 5, 5.

Good stuff. It seems like many of those penalties this season have negated some of our best plays.
When I was looking at the turnovers it was interesting to see that the Chiefs lead the NFL with 14. Mahomes has 8 interceptions.

WAH...WAH...WAH!!! I've lost faith!!!
I hope you find a team you can have faith in and be a fan of that team!
For me, I've lived through 2-12, 3-11 and 2-14 seasons and always had faith they would win all the rest of them.
I remember when THAT was the definition of a Fan.

The skill guys are fine. Until they get more out of the Line its always going to be tough to score much. In hindsight, signing and expecting Trent Brown to be a starting Tackle was a big blow. Really man? Agholor has been a huge bust. Henry has done some things ok here and there but no consistency. I mean the guy has never had 700 yards in a season. Frankly the skill players are overrated. This team needs a number 1 and they don’t have it on this roster. A shiney ornament guy are you? And what if we had this special guy? Agholor is that guy who can get down field but Mac just doesn't have the time. The OL is the problem here. The trenches are where games are won or lost. We have poor blocking and penalties out the wahzoo. But we have to have that number 1 to instantly make things better. LOL.

Most who have lost faith in this team are Buc's fans anyhow...
Teams don't play on paper, they actually have to practice and become a team.

I don't care how much they spent. It takes time to become a team. One entire season isn't enough let alone 6 games. People forget that, aside from one or two players, the team Brady inherited had been together for at least three years before he started as QB. This team and coaching staff has had all of 6 months.

Anyone who has anything to say that could be possibly be conceived as anything negative is obviously super secretly a Bucs fan. Great job Wozzy. Maybe you and Salcon could start your own board and only talk about how great the 2-4 NE Patriots are since you guys are "real fans".

Since Brady left you've morphed BB into Rasputin, the evil bad guy responsible for all the world's ills... and all our players lack talent, our draft picks terrible, F/A's are overpaid, have weak arms... pretty much suck. I am a Tampa guy now too I watch as many games as I can of theirs, and now that they are playing really well, we see most of their games. they are a really fun team to watch and seemingly are never out of any game. other than the Pats game, they have been a great team to watch this season, with a lot of familiar, favorite players. Brady, Gronk of course. I like AB too (on the field only). Fournette reminds me a lot of Blount. Never have been a Suh or Sherm fan. Vea is unbelievable.

It's tough when you have to give up the home team Jests and adopt another team. I picked the Bucs to win the Super Bowl last year, they were a superteam... the only thing that made it annoying were the moaners here who couldn't accept the split. I'm a Patriot's fan, I root for the laundry. But I'd love it if we could move a lot of the Brady/Bucs conversations over to the Buc's forum.

I don't think I talk about Brady much. he is still the most enjoyable QB in football to watch, for me. I still have the PAts as "my team", but am able to enjoy other teams and players. I don't live and die with any team in the NFL other than the Pats, going on over 50 years now. I am still at every home game. your Jets comments are really tired. you have better schtick than that, no? leave the Jets schtick to Tex's blog
