People want the #2 slot so they can take Drake Maye, who had very similar stats @unc as Sam Howell.
Sam Howell was drafted after Zappe.

If this is Belichick's last game with the Patriots—or maybe the last game of his career if he retires—I definitely want it to be a win. I will celebrate and Appreciate the entire body of his work, not his last game, especially a meaningless game.

Despite what fans want, the coaches and players are trying to win the game. That is what they are paid to do. Not appease fans' desires for a high draft pick! Which means a middling season next year as well. Pats don’t have a franchise QB on the roster. That we know. How many NFL teams do?

If they lose being competitive, well that is how the ball bounces. Just do not get desiring a loss from some here just for a higher draft pick that may not solve any problems. I hate the way you looking at it. A W keeps the pats from getting one of the top 3 QBs in this draft or maybe a chance at a legit franchise wideout. I've watched enough NFL football over the years in which the holy grail of a high draft pick rarely panned out as so many expect. I root for the players who play to win. Not for a loss to appease some fans' desires for a high draft pick.

You guys overestimate the probability of top drafted QBs—or really any player—paying off. Every year people put their faith in the draft. Most years, people are disappointed. .. and they blame the GM for not drafting well, too!

We don't "desire" a loss dude, its not like we're sitting here on our couches giddy about the idea of seeing this team stink. What we want is drinking that cold medicine that we all despised as kids. Of course it's not ideal, we'd like to just sit there and be healthy and enjoy ourselves. But sometimes to fix something, you have to deal with that terrible taste in the short-term so you can feel better in the long-term. Well, if form holds, you'll get to take that medicine. We've been hoping for wins for 16 games now and it only worked in 4. You may just get your "desire".

Zappe, 2 throws today, one should’ve been intercepted, and one was a hospital ball to Elliot.
Great start

The talking heads are saying it’s a “forgone conclusion” BB and Kraft part ways this coming week.
I’m not so convinced. I feel like the more it’s reported the less likely it happens. I believe I said the same thing about Brady leaving too. 😂

This game, there are no turnovers, could end up 0-0

Zappers holding the ball all day, totally misses the receiver crossing in front of him.
