Commanders stink. Look like they will have that second round pick.

If the bears select Caleb I think harrison will be there at number 3 . I don’t think Washington will take him. Bears could take Harrison but something tells me they will move fields. Idk. What does washington need? They don’t need a QB, unless Howell is not their man. Patriots unlikely to trade up for #2; unless Kraft can trade BB for their #2 pick 😁 The Sam experiment is over. They are drafting a quarterback.

Pats desperately need a QB. Somehow, someway, from some place. Then they need TWO OTs and an OL coach Isn't Klemm still under contract? and?

Yep, you have QB's who play in College for 3 years, which is kind of normal. Then you got guys who have played 6 and 5 years of College. About time they came out. Isn’t that experience vs inexperience and hoping player is more than question mark?

Trading up to 1 or 2 from 3 now likely only costs a 2 next season and maybe a future 3. Thats a much easier price to swallow vs giving up #5 a future 1st and a third draft pick

Caleb hasn’t even declared yet. The guy’s a 🤡. If he doesn’t wanna play for the bears just say don’t draft me.

They should be focused on building around Justin Fields. Trade down from 1, get a franchise tackle and receiver and your on your way. Bears ownership are fools though, and will beg Caleb to enter the draft so they can pick their shiny new toy.

That's like saying a 7 footer should be good at basketball. F the measurables. Skill demonstration is the key. Drew Brees was small. His skill made the difference. Tom Brady was scrawny and slow. Skill won again. Ignore size & weight, etc. What are their skills physically & mentally. I don’t get the maye hate. Dude lost his best wideout and the OL wasn’t the same . Anyway we need a new GM who can project a franchise QB. I agree, his talent is clear as day for me to see…having said that, yeah I do see some concerns, but that can be said about all of them, and I mean ALL OF THEM. But this kid is tall, his arm is phenomenal, he’s athletic, he can run, throw on the run, and appears as if he’s willing to take a hit to deliver a pass. He has franchise QB written all over him ,and at one point he was considered to be trending higher than Williams. I’d take him if he was sitting there, and probably over most.

Maye is my number one option. NE is in position to get him.

I don’t see why they don’t either pick Harrison or trade down and add even more. Fields has shown something the past couple months, and he has always had the tools. They’ve invested three years into him, he’s trending upwards now…why trade him? Rumor has it New England would have interest in Fields if available. Wonder what it would be like if we were able to grab him while drafting Harrison?

I'd rather get Jayden Daniels at 3.

The way I see it - the Patriots landed in a spot where they really can’t go wrong - there appears to be 3 guys sitting at the top of the draft worthy of drafting that high…Williams, Harrison, Maye. If you told me a month ago we’d get to choose one of them?? I’d be ecstatic. So that’s what I am, I’m ecstatic. But yet watching this franchise today…the way we lost…the way Belichick walked off that field…seeing the same stadium, the same seats, the same cold weather of this time of year…really made me remember what we used to be, how far gone in the rear view mirror that is now. And how much has passed since. I felt like a piece of my life just moved on, AND IT WAS A VERY GOOD piece.

I'd rather get Jayden Daniels at 3 and use that pick plus another 2nd and 3rd next year to trade up into the top 10 and get Malik Nabers to pair with his college QB. Yeah, I agree, and I also think it would take more than a second…I think it would be a second and a third.

With pick #2 (wow, they got that far) the Patriots probably trade down. Dozens of other NFL owners will pay a fantastic premium to draft their player of the century at pick #2.
The closest modern Patriot analogue to #2 would be pick #7 in 2008, the result of a trade to San Francisco where the 49ers never dreamed of having as bad a 2007 season as they actually had, which turned into pick #10 and a third rounder. #10 turned into Jerod Mayo. That deal is still paying dividends for the Pats 15 years later. The third rounder was a bust. New Orleans drafted Sedrick Ellis at #7. Ellis never signed a significant second contract, he just played out his rookie contract and then he pretty much disappeared, says Wikipedia.
