kind of thought the Bills would move him. I would think that puts the Bills in the WR market for the draft. Texans making some noise.

Can't blame the Bill's moving him he has been a cancer in the locker room for a few years. Good luck Houston with him.

I think he is going to cost Houston $18m this year unless Buffalo eats any of that dead cap? Anyone know how that gets paid?. After 2024, there are no guarantees in his contract.
This cost Houston a 2025 2nd round pick. Diggs is 30.

Mass exodus from Buffalo, losing not just their top receiver from last season but their top two receivers including Gabe Davis.
Provides cap relief going forward though, pay a rookie instead.
Remember how a superweapon WR was needed to put a contending team over the top?
Not so much…
Diva superweapons are a pain in the azz and more trouble than they’re worth.

Diggs was and is a cancer. Top of his game when happy ...ultimate drain when he is unhappy.

It was fun watch Moss here but he is ringless. We need chain movers and a deep threat and great play calling behind a steady o line.

Dude fell off the map in the last 1/3 of the season for the past 2 season, smart to move on. Wouldn’t be surprised if the Bills trade up a bit in the 1st for a WR

The board genius seems to be indicating that a crappy group of WRs is the way to build a team. I love it!

Moss was great for us until it came time to negotiate a new contract. Superweapons are only good when you acquire them for nothing and after their last team paid the bulk of their new deal.

We’re all about to find out if he is. Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Bills are trading Stefon Diggs to the Texans. Buffalo will receive a 2025 second-round pick, originally from Minnesota. Houston will receive Diggs, a 2024 sixth-round pick, and a 2025 fifth-round pick. By trading Diggs before June 1, the Bills will incur a $31 million dead cap charge in 2024. Diggs is signed through 2027. www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/bills-trade-stefon-diggs-to-texans

Not to worry, Josh Allen will still have 21 other players on the field to whom he can throw the football.

This draft is deep at wideout. I expect the bills to draft at least two wideouts.

This upcoming season we're going to learn a lot about how great Josh Allen truly is. I think he's all-world, but he didn't really take-off until he got Diggs. Now with Diggs and Gabe Davis gone, along with Brian Daboll from a few years back, now the cupboard is much weaker. Going to be interesting.

Btw, great deal for the Texans. A 2025 2nd's not nothing, but Diggs can still play and now with Tank Dell and Dalton Schultz coming back, Stroud has been put in a great spot. This is how you build around your franchise QB on his rookie contract.
If we hit on Maye/Daniels at 3, we could be in a similar spot next offseason to make these kind of moves.

Diggs dropped off in terms of his production last season. But was this a function of his skills declining with age (he'll turn 31 in November), or of him getting constantly double-teamed? Here's a quick biography on him, along with his stats: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stefon_DiggsYou be the judge.

A huge dead cap hit for Buffalo. And if Diggs can still be a premier WR, Houston is getting him for a bargain price. His Salary is guaranteed for 1 year only $19M and they don't change much for the 3 following years. Whatever went on in 2023 he still was a 107/1183/8TD receiver - his 6th straight year of 1000+ yards, 4 year of 100+ catches, and 4th of 8+ TDs. (5 of last six years for the last two.) There are 16 WR with average yearly salary over $20M right now.
And while they give up a second next year, they get a sixth this year and a fifth next year - which translates to a mid 4th rounder in 2024 in terms of value. (The typical trade is a 2 next year = 3 this year sort deal)

Buffalo did not flounder until they got Diggs, and all of a sudden Allen was great, and they were 1-2 with KC? were you watching? If a QB is good (not Mac) he gets better every year: Year - QB Rating Tua
2020 87.1 2021 90.1 2022 105.5 Joe Burrow
2020 89.8 2021 108.3 2022 100.8 Jalen Hurts
2020 77.6 2021 87.2 2022 101.5 Josh Allen
2018 67.9 2019 85.3 2020 107.2 Yeah... Allen only got better because Diggs made it so, not because every QB in history who ended up a decent player developed from his rookie year. Just dumb.
