not only was Wickersham right, unfortunately, so was Tom Brady Sr. this is not ending nicely, and it is unfortunate this is how Brady decided to go out. 20 years of what I deem greatness both on the field and off, is imo tarnished at how he is handling this situation. I still find him to be my most favorite football player ever, but am dismayed at how this is ending. What was he right about? Wickersham I mean. He made up a bunch of stuff, threw it against the wall and the vast majority fell off. Some of it stuck? Not sure what, but congratulations. They’re like an old married couple. Hey there’s tension there. Good guess. There’s tension in 99% of marriages. So he’s Nostradamus?

Wickersham was right about the discord between the big 3, and that it has been there for a short while. perhaps as long as the JimmyG draft choice. clearly, like all reporters, they are fed their information by sources. who is to say who Wickershams were? who is to say what he was told is true or not. he posted it is, Curran posted it is not. depends who told who Wickershams piece was for sure vetted, and would not have been published if it did not check out as to the sources. who is to say the sources did not lie or mislead? clearly it was a sensation/click bait piece, but it bore out to be true.

There has been nothing revealed that would qualify as proof of that. Would it surprise me? No. Did I find it rather dubious that Brady and Gronk decided to skip OTAs at that same time? Yup. But has anything come out that would amount to even 51% actual proof? No.

No. my post does state that there is no definitive proof either way, only sourced information that may have been planed or the truth stretched on that information but the underlying tone was spot on. it has been clear as can be the past 18 months cue the Truechamp hearing TB hates BB post. nowhere do I say anything of the sort. there is a strong difference of opinion on how best to approach year 2, and RK appears to be siding with BB on this one.

BB has been the most consistent GM since he took over the team. He values players different then Fans do. Ask Ty Law.

Saw that, Jets let him go, 2 years later 6 INT's with KC just about done at 34. Basically at 31 he had 3 good years left. BB felt time to move on because of money, and Age. Just saying.

Oh Lawd forbid a Global Icon and 6x champion has an opinion on who he thinks can help him win. Kobe never had that. Jordan never had that. Riggghhhtttt.
2 things.
1. I think if Brady is going to leave the Patriots after 20 years he wants to make sure the team he goes to is worth going to. Seems pretty smart to me.
2. Brady knows BB better than anyone. He knows as does Bill if their run is over. That might mean Bill wasn't going to offer him a contract or it could mean that Bill told Brady he has to throw to Matt Lacosse and Phillip Dorsett next year.
Either way it would be over for Brady who only wants #7. I assume that is what Bill wants(not a rebuild) as well which is why despite all the drama Brady will be a Patriot next year.

Yeah law was unreasonable in his salary demands if I remember correctly. He regularly speaks on his regret in leaving N.E! Even if Brady were to leave us and win 2 superbowls imo he would still have regret for leaving years later...

I wonder if he ever got the jest stink off him?

I hold Law in a tad lower regard than Willie, Lawyer, Vrabel, Sey and other all timers who played for other teams because of his time with the Jests. Forever tainted.... Lawyer is right up there for me. I was crushed to see him traded, only to watch Rodney Harrison become the MVP of early dynasty.

Basketball is not any more comparable to football than team tennis. I heard Martina Navratilova had some say about the Boston Lobsters roster back in the day. There's not one instance of a football player dictating personnel decisions or even being involved at any level. And there shouldn't be because it's really complicated and hard enough just to play the game, let alone work in the front office. We had this discussion before, if he wants to contribute to personnel, fine let's go. Get down to the stadium at 7 am ready to work and we'll find you a desk. Otherwise, bug off and let the professionals handle the personnel stuff. Here's an idea, I heard Shaq Mason wants to try playing QB. Never mind that he has zero experience let's let him give it a try. He knows as much about QB play as Brady knows about personnel. I'm sure Tom won't mind letting Shaq have a few series here and there. Since we're into this OJT mode.

If anything a QB should have more say of who he thinks he can effectively throw to than a basketball player thinks he can play with. Bill meets Tom every week so they can pick each others brains about what they saw in film for the upcoming game. Does that mean Brady thinks he is a GM and is undermining Bill or does it simply mean that Bill respects the shit out of him and values his input? Regardless I think if this over blown "demands" spin is true it is more in regards to Brady going to other teams. Like I said, if he is going to take a major risk and leave our Pats, he wants to make sure the team is geared to his skill set. Doesn't seem unreasonable at all to me. It's why Peyton went to Denver and their loaded defense and 3 great skill players. It makes sense for old all timers to want to be in the best situation possible for one last hurrah...

so he is leaving for money? Brady wants to give himself the best chance to win ring #7. He wants the easiest path. Why is that difficult to understand, what are you struggling with? This has absolutely nothing to do with a debunked hit piece written by some clown 4 years ago.

And BTW the team went out and got AB because Brady wanted him, they overpaid for Sanu with a 2nd round pick because Brady wanted him... his opinion has always carried weight within the organization.
Just because he wants something doesn't make it feasible.
Once AB's 12 million was spent, that available money was gone, it's called a salary cap for a reason.
