Bill Belichick will sign Cam Newton and draft a future Qb imho. I wish we could be better than that, but this is the bed we made. Newton's season reminds me a LOT of Brady last year. In the way we started hearing people say things like, "Off target, missing open receivers, sailing balls(instead of ground balls like Cam) shy in the pocket, worst year of his career".
Tough times.

Ryan Fitzpatrick is on a one year deal in Miami. If the Pats* want a vet mentor for a rookie QB, Fitz is the best in the business in that role.

And keep in mind, he talks about sacrifice - in terms of life and contract - but he will make an additional 2-3 million once he starts next week. JK Please stop with clamoring for Cam to be back ...we did the poll...it was 36 - 5 ...we have amazing knowledgeable fans here and a resounding majority of us think Cam sucks...he is not a good QB...I don't care that he has limited tools to work with...the very basics are NOT there...he doesn't read thru progressions, he doesn't recognize defenses, pocket awareness sucks, he throws off his back foot repeatedly and buries the ball in front of his WRs, he locks onto a WR and no matter the coverage he will throw it anyway...did I miss anything  Cam go away...PLEASE!!! |

Look at what he'll make in a year during which millions and millions of people are unable to work due to the COVID pandemic. His "sacrifice" is getting him millions! Truthfully what he’s really upset with is this...he came here to rebuild himself, his reputation, his future...and it backfired. It backfired because he sucked the whole way through the entire damn thing. So, his gamble won’t be paying off, but he should take solace in the fact that no one else wanted him and his career was over before he got here anyway. BB and organization is obviously trying to help him reach his incentives...he’ll make a few extra million because of that. He’s lucky because otherwise he’d probably be making a quarter of that as some failed commentator or “personality” on one of the 100’s of football shows no one watches. |

Five passing TD’s...
Rushing TD’s are irrelevant, they could have used Sony or Harris to run TD’s in. This offense is completely anemic because they can’t pass and it’s not because of weapons. The young weapons will improve and improve exponentially with better passing.
Cam in his advanced age with two shoulder surgeries on his throwing arm is not going to improve. He might be a good mentor from an intangibles standpoint, but they need a better teacher and passer.
Running as a QB is so overrated, Tom Brady was slow as a mule, but could run for a first down if he needed to. He was the worst athlete in the league and is the greatest QB of all time... kind of puts running into perspective doesn’t it.
